La Costena Chipotle Peppers In Adobo Sauce 7Oz Can - Pack Of 8

Quite expensive at £3 a tin, but added to a slow cooked beef curry then a slow cooked pork curry and the taste and spice level (quite hot) are exactly what I was after. At £3/tin, if the whole family was here I'd need two tins, it adds a lot to the cost of a family meal, so £2/tin would be better and I'd use it more often. But can't fault the taste and spice qualities and I'll be a repeat buyer.

I'm from the southern US where authentic Mexican food cooked by Mexicans is plentiful. These chipotles in adobo sauce are bursting with depth of flavour, 100% authentic and are made in Mexico.To me, Mexican food in the UK tastes like curry. So if you want to make Mexican tacos, enchiladas or salsa then but these chipotles.

What I love about being able to reach for these Chipotle peppers, is they add a great depth of flavour to your Mexican dishes, including chilli con Carne & many other dishes.

I have first used a whole can in my 500grams pulled chicken sauce as per recipe. It was so spicy I wasn't able to eat it. Then I started to use only one pepper and one spoonful of sauce and the same amount of chicken was incredibly tasty. The rest of the can save it in the freezer portioned for further use. I love the taste.

These are very good and are at a pretty respectable price my only gripe is that the consistency of the adobo sauce seems to vary slightly from can to can but that's only a small issue apart from that fantastic!

I first got a taste for these in the US some years ago & have enjoyed them ever since. For me the flavour is intense with a mild burn. I will be buying lots more in the future.
