Depends what you are fishing for Coastal water UK 25 to 30 would be good.

What is the country of manufacture? (i’d rather support great uk & eu businesses than communist china. worth this little question i think.)

I believe its made in China, you would be very hard pushed to find a UK/EU based manufacturer of braid or any fishing tackle A lot of fishing companies nowadays manufacture through china, and ship and sell in the uk The only upside to look at is that if its UK based seller, its already been paid for, shipped Here and all profits will go to The UK seller

Is it sinking braid or floating

I didn’t use it for fly. I used it for a spinning rod. With a 14g spoon it sank fairly well.
