Liberty 4 Pro by Anker Noise Cancelling Wireless Earbuds

My old wireless earbuds bit the dust, so I started shopping around and comparing and took a chance on the Liberty 4 Pro. I ordered them knowing that they would not sound as good as my wired balanced earbuds and was willing to live with that. I was wrong. Completely wrong. These not only sound as good as my wired, but much better. I haven't used the wired earbuds since I got the Liberty 4 Pro. The LDAC codec works great with my devices. The Soundcore app is amazing. You can customize everything about the earbuds except the color. On the app there is a Preference Test. This plays short samples of music where you can choose between A and B as to which sound you like best. It repeats this a number of times. At the end it figures out "your" best sound preference. I did this and haven't tinkered with the EQ once because the EQ it figured out for me was perfect. And, to my great pleasure, I found that this preference stays with the buds even if I'm using a different device with them. I can change this if I ever decide to, but it ain't broke so I'm not gonna fix it. I was actually taken aback by the Active Noise Cancellation. I was on a noisy bus when I first tried it out. When I put the buds in my ears and turned on the ANC I thought I had lost my hearing for a few seconds until I realized that it was the ANC kicking in. It was that effective. I could have heard a pin drop (except for the fact that the ANC would have probably cancelled out the sound of the pin dropping). It made quite a difference on my bus ride -- listening to only the pure sound of the music. Just to make sure I was still in the real world, I turned on the transparency mode and could hear every yapper and bouncy bus noise again (so I went back to ANC). Regarding the sound, the bass is strong and powerful, but not at the expense of the mids or highs. I get a solid base sound without feeling that my skull is being pummeled. The mids are very clear and the vocals come through strong. The highs are crisp and clear without harshness. Overall, a great sound. I've also been impressed with how the instruments are separated and I get a 3 dimensional sound to the music. Sometimes I feel like I could point to where the musicians were sitting in the room when they recorded it. Finally, they are the most comfortable earbuds I have ever tried. Normally I have to futz around with different tips or buy expensive tips from other companies to get the right fit. Then, I have to shove them half way up into my ear canal to get a decent seal (and even then I have to re-adjust frequently). Needless to say, it gets uncomfortable after about 20 minutes or so. With the Liberty 4 Pro, there are SIX sets of tips in the box from XXS to XL. After doing "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe", I chose the XL size. For me, this was a perfect fit. I gently placed the buds in my ear (not ear canal) and there was a perfect seal. Since these were resting in my ear and not shoved up into it, there was no discomfort of any kind. I can wear them for hours (and have) without any attention on them. I had thought this would never happen. Final finally, the customer service is also way beyond what I expected. I had a problem with getting the app to work on one of my devices, so I shot off a customer support request from their website. They answered back within 24 hours to tell me that there was a new update of the app that fixed this problem. I downloaded it and there is no problem. I had a query on something else and sent a request and was answered (with query resolved) again within 24 hours. Amazing. My recommendation is, click these into your cart and proceed to checkout.

Background: I’m in my mid-60’s and have been loving listening to music my whole life. I still use my Akai turntable from high school! My “main driver” speakers are Bose 901s. I have other NC headphones, Bose QuietComfort and Sony WH1000XM3. But sometimes I want earbuds. I have a pair of JBL Tune 125TWS earbuds, which are fine but not NC. I use Spotify, PowerAmp (Android), Plex/PlexAmp. I have digital music encoded from low-bitrate MP3 to FLAC and DSD. I had a vacation recently where I would be flying and beach/poolside and wanted a decent pair of ANC earbuds. I considered the Sony WF-1000XM5 based on my experience with the around-ear cans, but decided to do some research. The Soundcore Liberty 4 Pros had quite a bit of buzz, so I bought a pair via Amazon. The Good/Great: Great sound, period. Best earbuds I’ve ever used and definitely rival the around-ear headphones I’ve used. Full range, good bass, impressive volume. The ANC (active noise cancelling) is very effective. You have a 10-step control between “very transparent” = boosts the outside noise so you can keep the buds in your ear but hear MORE of what’s around you and “full ANC” which gives maximum noise cancelation. I had two cases of wanting the ANC active, two flights and one “poolside”. On the flights I activated the “flight mode” in the app. This pushes the ANC to the max AND uses a barometric sensor in the buds to compensate for changes in pressure in the plane. It’s hard to tell how well that works, but the sound was great throughout the flights. For “poolside”, I was at a resort that played music through pretty powerful speakers around their main pool. But when I was wearing the buds with ANC active, they did a good job blocking the speaker noise! Overall, I think ANC is a great feature, especially if you travel by air! It’s worth going with ANC headphones if you do! Calibration Feature: The app (highly recommend) lets you set a variety of sound “profiles”/equalizations. One option will step you through a hearing test. It takes about 10 minutes but is very much worth it. In my case, I know I have some high-frequency hearing loss in my left ear. The Soundcore hearing test detected this (so do a very expensive doctor…!) and built a custom equalization based on the findings. That profile REALLY improves the music playback! I can switch between the custom profile and a standard profile and really tell the difference. For me, that alone is worth the purchase! Also, during the sound / hearing test, the process will detect "sound leakage" due to the earbuds not sealing properly in your ear. This did happen to me but after some slight adjustments I got passed it. The point is that they take care to ensure the testing is very accurate and that you are getting a truly accurate profile generated. Comfort: Overall, the buds are very comfortable to wear. I had them in for most of two 3+ hour flights and had no discomfort. The buds stayed in without any problem. I was using the provided ear tips. Controls: I was skeptical at first, but the controls on these earbuds are great. It is subtle, but there is tactile feedback when “squeezing” the stems to pause/resume/skip, etc. I quickly learned how to precisely control the output. My Sony cans have “gesture” based controls which work, but sometimes are mis-interpreted. These Soundcore earbuds are give more control in a much smaller package. Case: The charging case is great but takes some time to get used to. The case charges quickly and gives good feedback about case charge level and/or earbud charge when they are in the case. Battery life is good. After each almost 4 hour flight the buds had about 64% charge remaining. And popping them into the case would have topped them off quite easily. The Not So Good: These are very minor issues I had only with my first period of usage. First, the size and shape of ear tips impact the use of the charging case. The provided tips work well, but I tried some other tips and they were too “big” and the case wouldn’t fully close with the buds inside. So if you use 3rd-party tips, note that you may have issues using the case and therefore charging. Another issue I had at first was that I was trying to put the buds in the case incorrectly and so they weren’t charging or connecting (eg: for a firmware updated). But I quickly realized the problem and learned the proper way to position the buds. Overall, I highly recommend these earbuds. The price is really great for what you get.

Purchased about a week ago as of 11/26/25 -First Impressions: Sound quality is excellent. Very clear but not twangy. Handles all ranges very well. Even very bassey and busy EDM these handle and reproduce the sounds very well. I am very happy with the sound quality. I have Listened to AirPods Pro 2, Galaxy buds pro 3, Klipsch T5 II ANC, Soundcore p20i and liberty 4 NC. The only two pairs of buds that even compare to these in terms of sound quality in my opinion are the Klipsch T5 II ANC which is slightly better, and the liberty 4 NC, which is slightly worse. Close contenders after those two would be AirPods Pro 2 and galaxy buds 3. P20i do sound good, but aren’t anywhere near the price range. - The app has a lot of features, as do the earbuds. You can adjust the case settings (Ambient sound, spacial audio, atmospheric pressure, find device and remote camera) in the app, this will decide what displays on the case based on what you want. You can turn on voice detection, wearing detection, adaptive sound leakage compensation, set a safe volume (ranging from 75-100db) I highly recommend doing this off the bat as the earbuds can and will exceed 120db even above just half volume on your phone. For those of you who don’t know this is EXTREMELY loud. Loud enough to do permanent hearing damage in just 15 minutes. I imagine soundcore made them these loud for those hard of hearing, and for tracks that are just quieter. I listen to very loud music naturally so these were super loud when I first put them in. If you do the same save your self and set the safe volume. That way even if you max out your phone volume they will never pass the limit you set. You can also adjust the ANC from 1-10 on the app, which is also very good when maxed out. The hearing test definitely helped me get a good EQ, but you can also good from one of soundcores many preset EQs, use spacial audio, or make your own EQ, so if they don’t sound good out of the box there’s no excuse for them to not sound good after you’ve played with the settings. The buds themselves have 4 customizable controls (single, double, triple and long press) you can also slide up and down for volume control and use them to answer and hang up calls, but these are not adjustable. Essentially the controls are just like AirPods Pro, you pinch the stem instead of trying to find the tip of the bud every time, which I definitely prefer. I just wish it was a bit louder according to your volume level. Like I can hear it ok when my music is turned down really quiet, but when I have it turned up I can’t hear it at all. Sometimes this causes me to double press because I didn’t hear the first press register. The color options for this series could have been better. I understand this is soundcores premium earbuds and so they wanted them to look that way too. But the glossy finish on the black and blue options was a drawback for me. I would find myself constantly wiping fingerprints off the case. I think matte is always the better option, even if it doesn’t look as nice. As far as I can tell people can hear me fine on calls if that’s any testament to the mic quality. I have yet to really test the durability of them as I haven’t dropped them or the case. But the fact that they case slides open instead of opening like a hatch door, means they might be less likely to fall out when dropped in the case. I’ve pretty much always had that problem in the past with any other truly wireless earbuds. Not matter how hard or short the fall, they go flying out. Pros: -Excellent sound quality with super customizable EQ -Very easy controls with pinch controls on earbuds, and some control on the case, with lots of customization on the app. - good call quality - comfortable for all day use -super fast recharging case and earbuds -Super loud but has a safe volume setting to limit the volume -great ANC and transparency, transparency features is near-real time with almost no delay. Cons: -Case does not feel that durable - there’s some movement to the lid even when closed, and it’s pretty lightweight. Please not that I have not dropped these or tested them at all, I am only basing this off feel and previous experiences with electronics. -Case controls are a bit gimmicky, there could definitely be better function overall with it. First there should definitely be volume control on the case, second it would be nice if there was a more tactile or responsive option than the Touch Bar. The responsiveness on it is good, but not great. Something tactile like a button or slider would fix this. - earbuds seem to scratch easily. I got these only a week ago and there’s already scratches on the earbuds. Again I haven’t dropped them. I don’t even have an idea as to how they got there, I just barely noticed them by catching them in the right lighting. So either they came that way or they got scratched by normal usage. Doesn’t seem like it’s going to affect anything but it’s worth noting. - would be nice to see a “hey siri” (or other voice assistant) feature that is complete hands free. Maybe this is not possible as Apple could totally have that patented, but if not it would be nice. -case size is a bit large. As you can see in the photos comparing them to the P20i and Liberty 4 NC, the Liberty 4 pro is quite a bit bigger. For a guy with big pockets this hardly matter but I think about the ladies here with small pockets who might not want something this big.

I’m a big fan of Anker. I have two Bluetooth speakers, one for home, one for work. For earbuds, I started off with the p20i, then the p30i, and the p40i. I’ve been impressed with all, with the p30i being the best bang for buck. The Liberty Pro 4 is an elevated experience. Like the prior P models, There’s a test to determine the best sound for my individual ear and hearing. The sound of my house kept triggering the test so I had to go to my rock where it’s quiet. Setup took maybe 5 minutes. The ANC is very nice! Before going to the app, the seal felt nice vs the p40i. The size of the bud plus the base of the earphone just fit so snug to my ear canal. But when I activated ANC, I felt very isolated. I’m so happy with the result! Onto how it felt against the P models. The P30i was hard to beat, having good value and the amount of bass I wanted, while the p40i had a much brighter sound which was hard to EQ to keep ear fatigue away. The Liberty Pro 4 has a slightly dark feel, with the right amount of crispness to not fatigue my ears when listening for prolonged time. This gave me a very pleasant listening experience. Based on my hearing, and the sound test, my EQ was ironically a bass boosted curve. I made a custom EQ despite this because I usually adjust an equalizer with zero as the highest setting, lowering the middle and high end gradually, to prevent distorting my speakers. The EQ starts at 100hz, up to 12.8khz, with 8 bands. I would have liked a 60hz dial, but I guess these are buds and won’t reproduce the subsonic frequencies so well lol, but one can hope. What resulted was listening to bits of my modern R&B, hip hop, pop, K-pop, punk, reggae, ska, and metal playlists for the last hour just enjoying how excellently balanced these earbuds sound to my ears. From Bruno Mars’ Risk It All, to OutKast’s Atliens, Chadwick’s Pacific, Van Halen’s Unchained, etc, this is a superb earbud. I love it! The case is much different than the prior clamshell type the P series used. This has a sliding top, with indicators showing both sides at 100%. Nice QOL touches. After an hour of listening, I currently at 85% averaged on both sides. Not bad at all! On a side note, I charged it out of the box full after about 30 minutes. That’s a pretty good amount of time to charge to full. Overall, this earbud impresses me so much! Great sound for all the different music genres I listen to. It’s like shopping for car speakers. I wanted a good balance, warm, dark, with enough crispness to top it off without overwhelming my ears. I have this for my favorite earbud, with the Skullcandy Crusher as my over-ear bass machines. It’s great to be alive on a Saturday night listening to music!

TL/DR: Satisfied with sound quality, ANC, customer service and earbud battery life. Disappointed with case battery life and the touch sensitive buttons on earbuds and the case. Extremely dissatisfied with overall product quality (broken after just over 40 days of ownership). Background: Before purchasing the 4 Pro, I owned the SoundCore Liberty 4NC for about three years before the battery in the right earbud died. So I was looking forward to the added features of the 4 Pro version. Disappointed: The case battery life seemed to require relatively more frequent charging than the 4NC. I used my earbuds an average of 1-3 hours a day for both the 4NC and the 4Pro. With the 4NC, I charged my case about every 2 weeks. But with the 4Pro I found myself needing to recharge the case at least 1x per week. Regarding the touch sensitivity. I suspect the touch button on the case may have contributed to the lower battery life. I suspect that every time I put my hand in my pocket, the touch controls were being activated causing the battery life to run down. The touch controls on the case are not necessary. Many other reviewers have covered the touch controls on the buds themselves. Satisfied: I will not get into the details of what I was satisfied with (except customer service) as many other reviewers have already covered those areas. Once my earbuds stopped working (read below), Soundcore customer support was quick to issue a replacement. Not happy that I needed a replacement so soon after purchasing, but happy that I did not have to go through a long back and forth with SoundCore. Just received confirmation that a replacement was being sent yesterday so still waiting for them. Extremely dissatisfied: After a little over 40 days of ownership, I woke up one morning and the earbuds were acting up. The left bud was not being recognized in the case but the right bud was recognized. However, when attempting to use the buds I could only get sound to play out of the left bud. I followed all cleaning instructions, but could not get the case to recognize that the left earbud was seated in the case. This is important because you cannot access the settings menu on the case or in the app unless the case recognizes both earbuds in the case. So you CANNOT access the option to reset the earbuds to factory settings to try to troubleshoot the issue. So I’m left with a useless pair of headphones that do not work. Final verdict: The fact that these did not even last two months has me extremely concerned about the overall longevity of these earbuds in general. I wish I just ordered another pair of 4NC’s or the 5’s. There are too many problems with the 4 Pro’s but Soundcore’s snappy customer service has me placated for now…that is until the replacements break also. Crossing my fingers for now that they last the test of time.

The earbuds themselves are great. They fit nicely into my ears and are quite comfortable. The sound cancellation is also very good, I use them when I mow or weed whack or chainsaw and they perform excellently. The software however, is becoming an issue. With increasing frequency they will just drop out of ANC mode and revert to their normal status. As one can imagine, this is less than ideal when sitting on a mower. Additionally, when this happens the squeeze controls cease to work. To fix this I must put them back in the case and allow them to reset before I can use them again. The length of use doesn’t matter, it can happen within 15mins or after 1 hour; I have yet to identify what would cause this issue other than software bugginess. In sum: the hardware is great, the software is buggy.

I’m a 43-year-old guy with decent hearing, no major loss, just some natural decline with age, and I use earbuds daily for running, working out, housework, calls, and the occasional moment of peace from the chaos of parenting. I previously used the Soundcore P3 earbuds, which I really liked, but I lost one of them and needed a replacement. After some research, I landed on the Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro, and I’m genuinely impressed with how much of an upgrade these are across the board. Sound and Noise Cancellation The sound quality is fantastic. Music and podcasts come through loud, crisp, and full of detail. Bass is strong but not overwhelming, and vocals are clear and clean. Whether I’m zoning out during a treadmill run or catching up on a podcast while folding laundry, I never have to crank the volume just to hear what’s going on. The adaptive noise cancelling (ANC) is a huge highlight. It automatically adjusts to your environment, and you can also manually choose from ten levels of noise cancellation in the app or case. I’ve set it up so I use: - Passthrough mode for outdoor runs (so I can still hear traffic), - Full ANC for the gym or treadmill, - And sometimes just to block out the kids and grab a little quiet. - The transitions between modes are smooth, and the app makes it easy to switch. Fit and Comfort Right out of the box, the default tips fit well, but Anker includes five extra sizes, which is a nice touch. The earbuds have stayed in place securely during my runs and gym sessions, no slipping or loosening at all. They’re also surprisingly comfortable even for extended wear. No ear fatigue after hours of use. Controls and Customization The physical buttons are one of my favorite features. My old P3s used touch controls, and I was always accidentally changing songs or adjusting volume with a brush of my hand. These mechanical buttons are much more precise, no more accidental skips mid-run. I customized the controls using the Soundcore app: - Long press: Switch between passthrough and full ANC - Single tap: Volume up (right) / Volume down (left) - Double tap: Play/pause - Triple tap: Next (right) / Previous track (left) Everything is responsive, and I love that I can tailor it exactly to how I use the earbuds. App Integration The Soundcore app adds a lot of functionality. Besides ANC and button customization, I ran the sound test (HearID) to personalize the audio to my hearing. It made a subtle but noticeable difference in clarity and balance. The app also lets you check battery levels, change EQ settings, and get firmware updates. Call Quality I made a call while doing dishes, with water running in the background, and my wife said she couldn’t hear the water at all. I could hear her clearly, too. The six-mic setup with AI noise reduction clearly works, these are some of the best call-quality earbuds I’ve used. Battery Life and Charging Battery life is solid. I used them for about 4 hours straight, 2 hours of full ANC on the treadmill and 2 hours of housework, and they only dropped from 100% to 35%. That's impressive considering ANC was on the entire time. The fast charging is also a win. A quick 10-minute top-up gives me plenty of use time. The case has a digital readout showing the battery percentage, which is way more useful than trying to guess from a blinking light. Maybe I'm old, and this feature is standard, but when I take one of the earbuds, it pauses what I'm listening to, then when I put it back, it starts again. I thought that was a cool feature. What’s in the Box Inside the package: - The earbuds and charging case (USB-A to USB-C) - Five extra sets of tips for different ear sizes - A USB-A to USB-C cable - An instruction manual Drawbacks The charging case is a little larger than I’m used to. It’s still pocketable, but definitely bulkier than the P3’s case. The sliding mechanism on the case lid takes a little getting used to. It’s secure, but feels different than the usual flip-top design. While I prefer the physical buttons to touch controls, I do wonder how well they’ll hold up long term with repeated use. So far, though, they’re working great. The charging cable they include is very short. It’s fine if you’re plugging into a laptop, but less convenient if your outlet is lower on the wall or further away. Final Verdict If you're someone who’s active, listens to music and podcasts daily, takes calls on the go, and values sound quality, noise cancellation, and control customization, these are a fantastic choice. They’re a definite step up from the P3s and hold their own against higher-end earbuds at a much more reasonable price. Would highly recommend, especially if you're looking for earbuds that can keep up with both your workouts and your everyday life.

I am not a pro but i will try to review these the best I can. Pros: 1. Connecting - I connected them to my phone first through the app which went smooth but had to turn off the Bluetooth on the phone to connect them to my PC but once connected to both everything was fine. 2. fit - The buds fit well in my ears and were very comfortable with a good seal. 3. ANC - I have a window AC unit 15 feet from me and the ANC was able to remove the sound. Not a big user of ANC so I call this good. 4. Transparency - I do not use this feature, all I can say is that it works. 5. sound - I thought the sound out of the box was better than most I have heard but I always EQ. I used the app to set up the sound and got them to where I like ( bit of a bass head), nice and punchy with a sound profile I enjoyed. App setting carried over to my PC which was nice. 6. call - I only took one call and both parties were happy with the quality. 7. app - I honestly don't remember much about the app, had the bells and whistles you would expect from buds of this tier. 8. Battery life - unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to keep them long enough to test this. Cons: 1. The case - My case was not working properly. All the reviews I saw showed how much functionality the case has but mine would only show charging status, ANC slider, and connection. I went through the included documentation to see if there was something I missed but couldn't find anything. I watched many reviews that showed the cases functions and couldn't see them doing something special to get it to work. 2. Controls - I had a hard time getting the click function on the stem to work properly. They weren't responsive as I would have expected, having to do the same operation multiple times to get them to do what I wanted. The swipe feature for volume was also a bit clunky sometimes and the left bud malfunctioned out of the blue. I went to swipe up to increase volume and I got a fast clicking sound (when you do an operation it would give an audible click so you know it worked) and the volume went to 0%. I figured it might just be a bug so I put the buds back in the case, took them out and tried again with same result. I tried reconnecting them, restarted the app but nothing helped. I was willing to keep the buds even with the problematic case but with the left bud issues I had to return them. I was tempted to replace them because I really like the sound and could see why they were well reviewed, but I just wasn't going to risk having another pair break especially if it was outside the return window.

Outstanding! Beautiful sound quality. Excellent build quality. Multiple functions & customisable to your personal preferences. Comfortable to wear & so far, nothing negative to add. Highly recommend. Don't hesitate to buy. I'm now looking at Soundcores Space One Pro ANC headphones.

There is no sound coming from the left side of the headphone and its battery is also very slow.

Il est cependant conseillé par sécurité d'utiliser un bandeau serre-tête si l'on court ou pratique une activité physique. - le confort d'écoute est amélioré par une réduction de bruit efficace. - personnellement, j'estime que la qualité du son est largement satisfaisante compte tenu de cette catégorie de produit dans cette gamme de prix. - ce produit rivalise donc bien avec d'autres articles plus onéreux. My Sony headphones died so I got these as replacement. I also own the Soundcore Space A40 earbuds so I thought I should give these a go. I'm very happy with them so far. They sound louder and better than the Sony headphones which is saying something given this is less than the price. The ANC works great. I hate unwanted background noise and want to immerse myself in what I'm listening. These seem to be as good as the Sony's although I have not tried them on a plane so can't be certain. And the battery lasts about 5-6 hours with full ANC enabled and around 8-10 hours without depending on your settings. I use Dolby Atmos when listening to music which uses much more processing power but sound fantastic. One of the best features is how fast the buds recharge. I'd say about 15 minutes full charge in the charging chase and you can see the charging in realtime on the monitor of the case. Fantastic. The mic is very good. No one has complained and my calls seem clear to others. Unlike my Sony's or A40s. It connects to two devices and the connection is instant. My Sony's constantly required manual setting connection between devices. The only issue I notice is sometimes there's a bit of delay or momentary disconnections with my Sony TV. Mostly when I'm watching YouTube. This does not happen with my Soundcore Space A40 so I'm hoping it's a driver/firmware issue which will be fixed in the future. But I haven't noticed this issue with my laptop or Android phone. For me they feel very comfortable out of the box. I didn't need to change the buds although maybe I should try some of the others to see how they feel. Overall, for the price (I got it on special for $175) it's a fantastic pair of earbuds.
