This pretty necklace turned out to be garnets instead of rubies, but I love it and don't want to exchange it. The gemstones are all in the same color range - deep red tending more to orange than the red violet of the rubies. They will go nicely with outfits that could also be accessorized with carnelians, although these are red versus the orange of carnelian. I didn't realize just how RED these are until I was taking photos in the sunshine and happened to be wearing a true red apron. Yep, these are RED.While the stones are synthetic, you would never know unless you were told. Each smoothly polished bead is rich in translucent color with a lot of inner life and light, even tiny sparkles - not like glitter, but more like effervescence in the sunlight. Very subtle, very beautiful.These are hand-strung on a strong cord and are not knotted between the beads. I noticed that there can be up to a 1/4" of string showing if held a certain way, but that extra space disappears as the choker is worn or laid out flat in a circle. The extra room accommodates the size and shape of the stones, which would not lay well around a curve if they were strung any tighter.The clasp is unusual, sort of a gold bow. The piece that feels like you should pinch it to open like a lobster claw clasp actually pops open when you PULL the little lever out and away. It's a strong clasp, and hard to do behind your neck if you haven't figured it out beforehand.Speaking of which, look at the photo in the ad again and you'll see the model is wearing the necklace with the clasp forward. It's that pretty. The pop of gold is nice with the red beads.I took this necklace on a tour of my closet and found a number of print blouses in different styles that will work with these lovely garnets. I'm sure I'll be wearing these often.Also enjoyed learning more about this necklace and this family-owned company while chatting through the Amazon app with Artisan Sami. I know these delightful pieces were handmade with love and attention to detail. Whichever gemstone choker you choose from their store, I know you'll be delighted with your handmade piece.

This is an 18" tourmaline necklace with a bow clasp. It is indeed 18 inches long (including the clasp), and the stones are pretty. I struggled with the clasp as I couldn't figure out how to open it. The part that seems like it would open is actually the hinge; it opens out from the part that appears to be the lever, and it snaps closed tightly. The necklace has 1/2-3/4" of extra space on the string to help give the stones some movement. There are no knots between the stones to keep them in place. On me, they tend to bunch up and leave a gap by the clasp. It is a pretty choker that I'll wear with higher-neckline shirts and dresses. The size of the stones makes this feels more like a 16" necklace in terms of where it falls on me.

This is a pretty little necklace where each sapphire stone threaded on it has a variety of blues. The necklace dressed up a fall trip to a pumpkin patch and also a date night. The hinge folding out on the bow confused me and I struggled to open it behind my neck to take the necklace off, but that will change as I get used to it. It was prettily presented and comes with a cloth for cleaning/polishing the stones.

This necklace is beautiful. The colors of the stones are vibrant and bright. The necklace has a good weight to it and you can tell it isn’t cheaply made. The clasp is really pretty, it’s like a bow. This would make a great gift.

This necklace is really gorgeous. I love stones like these, that wouldn't necessarily end up in fine jewelry but does highlight the diversity of how a sapphire can look. There are so many variations of the sapphire represented in this necklace, from almost white to deep blues and every shade in between. Each sapphire bead is beautifully polished, and strung together they create a really gorgeous collective representation of the stone.The necklace is choker length, just long enough that it can rest right at the base of your throat. It's got a decent weight to it. The weight and feeling of the stones are comfortable to wear; not the slightest bit uncomfortable. The beads are strung on what appears to me to be a pretty thick thread- the thread has been doubled as well. It does seem very strong. The clasps do feel a bit plasticky to me. Although that's nothing dealbreaking for me so long as it feels strong enough to continue doing its job (it does), it is worth mentioning for those who it might be a dealbreaker for. I've never seen a clasp quite like this one either; it's definitely an efficient clasp, just something I've never personally seen prior to this.I really love this necklace. I love all the different shades of blues and the weight and length. It's a great necklace!
