Chefman 1.8L Glass Electric Kettle 3000W, Anti Limescale Filter, BPA Free

This was a difficult one to review as is a tele of two halves. The good. Kettle boiled quite quickly and looked good doing so. Good size Kettle. It's glass so seeing the water level is a cinch. The not so good. The filter literally disintegrated after 2 weeks of use. I appreciate we may have just got a bad one which is why I'm trying to be positive. I've given it 5 stars as before the issue with the filter it was an excellent kettle.

The kettle is very pleasing to the eye and well made. The blue LEDs when it's switched on is very pleasing. I like the fact the lid simply pulls off for filling meaning you don't have to tilt it awkwardly to fill it. All in all a very nice and well priced kettle.

We've had two of these - they are very competitively priced and look great when new. With the first one the switch failed after a few months - it would only boil if you kept the switch depressed until it did so. So we assumed it was just bad luck - a dodgy switch - and bought another. The second one, which we've now had for less than a year, has developed a leak between the glass part and the plastic top of the thing,meaning that every time you pour from it, some water is retained within the top of the kettle, and drips from the point where the glass meets the top part - water leaks both down the side of the kettle onto the base (where the electricity supply is constantly live) and from the bottom of the kettle onto wherever you are as you dispense the water. We are not about to make the same mistake a third time. I'd avoid these, however well priced they are and however attractive they look. We are buying a Bosch kettle now, at twice the price, but hopefully with a much more robust and functional design.

Overall it's good, fast, and looks nice for the price but as some others have pointed out the lid sticks and you need to apply some FORCE to get it off. It's easier to remove after kettle has boiled and kettle is hot so if you are one of those people who fill the kettle up right after you've used it then you would be ok.

Good size kettle and doesn’t make the water taste plasticky, have tried other kettles but glass ones are the best. Arrived at pick up point on time super fast. Makes a lovely cup of tea or coffee. Would recommend

Its a PERFECT buy. I was Stupidly disappointed at first as I hadn't realised how much smaller it was to what I'm used to. BUT this is a POSITIVE. It's Super Easy to clean from limescale as I live in a HardWater area. It's Saving me on water. So saving on unnecessary electricity AND has the option of a metal filter for my personal Herbal Tea Brews. Top Job. Never going to buy a larger kettle again.

I had to order a kettle a few months ago, so found a glass one, but the lid leaked. They very kindly replaced, but the lid still leaked, the pour was slow and you had to go careful when pouring as the handle got hot and u could feel the heat from the glass body which u had to go careful with. Not only that, the drips from the lid. I painstakingly looked for other brands and came across this one. The handle is perfect, doesn’t get hot like the other one did. The spout pour is sooo much better on this one, and the lid doesn’t leak. I wish I got this one sooner. This is much better for my disabled son to use as it’s much safer and I feel a lot more confident letting him use it. Very sturdy and great to use.

Nice Looking - doesn't last! Was so pleased when we got this kettle, it looks lovely, boils quickly but after 6 months it leaks when you are pouring the hot water out!

Works amazing. Its the perfect size and so easy to use. It is so cute and fits with my kitchen. Heats up quickly especially compared to the stove top version I have. Not too heavy and easy to use. You can boil warer dor just a cuppa or use the tea holder it comes with to make a whole thing of tea. Very versatile and many ways to use it.

I had read a review that this shattered on someone for no reason which made me not buy it for a long time, then it was put on such a good sale I decided to risk it. I found that the reason that person's kettle shattered was probably because they boiled water, used the water, then perhaps tried to clean the kettle by putting cold water in it. This is a HUGE no no. You do not put cold water on hot glass, trust me. This has been a most wonderful kettle. I love the color of it when you switch it on, neon blue. It turns off by itself when it's ready to go. It boils quickly and quietly, and it's nice and fat. The "steeper" is that what it's called? Is awesome. You can steep all your loose tea in it without a bag. I love this kettle.

I had kettle for 13 days and it started leaking i had to throw it away very disappointed after spending all that money
