What makes this hot chocolate "Aztec" or "Mexican" style — how is it different from regular hot chocolate?

The ancient Aztecs ground cacao with chili, vanilla, and cinnamon — bitter, spiced, nothing like modern sweet cocoa. This mix revives that 3,000-year tradition of xocolātl — the sacred drink of our ancestors.

What does Aztec xocolātl actually taste like compared to modern hot chocolate?

Castle Kitchen honors that ancient lineage with natural chili spice infused into rich dark cocoa — bold, warming, with a heat that builds at the back of the throat the way the gods intended. Regular hot chocolate soothes. This one commands.

Is this dairy-free, vegan, and gluten-free?

Yes — dairy-free, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, and plant-based. Just add water. No milk, no cream, no compromise. Clean ingredients, no artificial sweeteners. Every diet welcome at the temple.

How do you prepare it — can you use milk alternatives?

Mix 1–2 tablespoons into 8 oz hot water or milk. Works with oat, almond, or coconut milk. Serve hot, iced, or blended with espresso for a Mayan Mocha. No barista required. No blood sacrifice either.

Is this made with real cacao or artificial flavoring?

Real alkalized cocoa, natural chili spice, no artificial sweeteners or flavors. The cacao tree — Theobroma cacao, food of the gods — gives its essence genuinely here, as it did in the markets of Tenochtitlan.
