Simple and easy
I was skeptical that it would be strong enough, but it works great. I leave the arm attached to my grill and can have the whole thing setup with gas in 2-3 min. It’s not complicated. It does require holding the grill with one hand while the other closes the clamp. So if you need two hands to hold the grill, someone else would need to close the clamp.

Does not do what it says on the tin. Junk
Product is not sturdy and does not secure well to the size rail that it claims to fit. Parts seem to have been missing as well. Total waste of money and I will be trying to get a refund.

It works... but cost is too high
As other reviewers have noted... this thing is insanely expensive. But it works well and does the job. Vertical rod placement is the way to go...or as close to 90 degrees as possible. I just don't see how this thing could possibly hold with horizontal placement.Anyway, it's sturdy and the grill works great. But good grief when an accessory item is 35-40 percent the cost of the actual grill (which was only $200) then that's the definition of gouging. But what can you do? With no competition they charge what they want, and a sucker like me is forced to buy it.But hey, at least I'm only complaining about something that allows me to GRILL WHILE I'M ON MY BOAT! :)

Does not clamp up on my 1&1/8 " rail
Would not fully clamp on a 1&1/8" rail. Tried swimming with a piece of hose, but then it slips. May work on 1&1/4 rail though.

Didn't work for me
The mount would not hold the grill level on the rail. It would slowly slip to a drooping position making the grill unsuitable for cooking. Maybe I bought the wrong size, in which case, it was my error. I plan to try the smaller size. Love the grill!
