Overall outstanding game! Well worth the money & easy to learn and play!
I bought this game not knowing what to expect. The website looked cool and I’m glad I did.First, all of the components are top notch. Even the box (made to look like an old fashioned candy box) is strong and substantial. (I also like the portable size.) The pieces also feel old fashioned. The tiles ‘click’ when you shake them and the dice are heavy. Even the instructions (clearly written and well organized) look like they were printed in the 1960’s.The game is really, really fun to play. The basic rules are simple and we like that. There's some letter switching and rearranging permitted but, so far, we keep it simple. (We haven’t tried the Express version yet.)Overall…great game. Well worth the money. We can’t figure out why somebody didn’t think of this 75 years ago!

Great learning game the kids love!
I am a teacher and bought this game for my 6th grade class. I introduced it to small groups and told them they could play when they had free time. They love the game! It is quick to learn and is along the lines of Scrabble. There are two ways to play which allows for differentiation. My students have been doing work ahead of time so they can play Candygrams. I would highly recommend it for any classroom. Learning and having fun at the same time.....Yahoo!!!!!

Great game when you make your own rules
Once I was out with a friend and chose this game to play. It had no instructions in the box so I made them up. I liked how easy it was to make up instructions, and I liked the instructions I made up, so it made me want to own the game myself. I had to make a choice between this and bananagrams, so that shows how much I liked the options I came up with for rules. I looked up the actual instructions before buying, so I was fully aware of them before making my decision and rated accordingly. As for negatives, there were a bit, but I knew what I was buying for the most part. The actual design (emphasis on design, not materials) looks cheap given the possible options for making colored tiles or a candy-themed set, which again, I was aware of before purchasing. The little colored squares look cheaply printed on and some are faded straight out the pack. The dice and tiles are a bit plain compared to the decent quality box and beautifully printed instruction card. But it's cute. The main unique factor, aside from the colors (and especially considering it's a spin-off of bananagrams in a less charming way than bananagrams is an adaptation of scrabble), is that there's a candy-themed name every part of the game.I happened to find some dirt or something on the tiles out of the bag... Also considering it comes in a box, an insert to hold the dice and a separate compartment for the tiles, or some sort of container for each players tiles, OR some sort of boards or nifty placemats would have made sense. If you are sticking to the original instructions, it is more child-oriented than the average game. If you have a knack for creating games or instructions, this is fun to play around with, but it is a pricier game set. There definitely is something charming about the set, or I could have purchased another popular word game for cheaper and exercised some creativity there.Ultimately, like with any game, how fun it get is up to you and who you're playing with.

Simple fun game for all ages
We were introduced to Candygrams a few months ago at a friend's dinner party. If you know scrabble, this is even more basic than Scrabble, but still based on the idea of building crosswords from your stash of tiles.

I love Scrabble and Bananagrams
I love Scrabble and Bananagrams, so this looked like it would be right up my alley. It did not disappoint. Simple to learn, fun to play. I like that it comes in a compact box which fits easily in my saddle bag. I took it to a coffee shop to play with a couple of friends. I'm going to purchase one for my grandma who loves word games. I know she'll love it. Great game!

Great for kids and families
I really loved this game. I am a teacher and this game helps promote critical and flexible thinking. It also allows for different entry points, so kids of different language skills could play together successfully.I also break this game out with my family, which has kids. It is easy and fun to play. The kids love the packaging, they thought there would be candy inside though :)

Great addition to family game night!
It’s a game we can all play....and our seven year old doesn’t feel left out. The colors make it more fun for the kids (and no points to worry about). Fast moving AND makes spelling fun!

Love this new game
Just heard about this game - apparently it’s brand new. It’s like a more fun and quicker version of scrabble. Love that you don’t have to add up points and can play a whole game in 15mins or so - even though we ended up playing for a few hours last night. Definitely recommending to friends and family!
