1993 throwback
We looooove the Lego Jurassic park sets and this has instantly turned into one of our favourite dino sets. There is little better than high tech labs and cages with escaping dinosaurs. We already collected a decent herd of Lego dino’s from previous sets or through Ebay. And .. they are on the loose all the time! This 360 piece set gives you an additional, not too sizeable Velociraptor that causes havoc. But it’s really the detailed Visitor Centre, that is the most interesting part of this set. Not least because, other than the most recent sets, this set is based on the original Jurrasic park classic movie from the 1990’s.Playsets in general are always great in Lego as they generality offer what they are meant for; lots of play and functionality and imagination. And this set that captures several iconic moments from the movies is no difference. The set combines the three different areas, a laboratory a control room and a kitchen that are connected through Technic pins so that they can be swapped around as you like. The detail lies in the kitchen contents, the computer desk, the DNA cooling unit and of course; dino embryo containers. The selection of minifigures is better than in most Jurrasic park/world sets including the two children visitors that young builders can relate to. But also included are Alan Grant (finally) and Ellie Sattler.. so no park rangers or Owen Grady this time, of which we already had duplicate versions. The construction is quite straight forward and our little chief brick constructors had little trouble to complete the set in not time form the three separate bags that the pieces come in. So the 120 page manual is quite clear. Albeit there was a bit of annoying and tricky stickering to go through.Initially I wondered what the included ladder was for. But my young Jurrasic Park expert was quick to remind me that it is for the children to allow to escape through ceiling – disappointingly no ceiling is included, leaving the children at risk. (also because they do not fit into the kitchen cupboards)As always the set is of high quality and the bricks are super durable. The best could have been that it combines very well with other Dino sets or other Lego sets. But the really the best part of any Lego set is that it ‘connects’ .. people. Very thankful for the many Lego filled hours where I could build and play jointly with my children.

Excellent
Considering this was a purchase from an Amazon seller that I assumed was already opened etc, it came fully sealed, everything still in its original packaging! Was concerned buying from a seller die to Covid-19 however this clearly had never been opened! Excellent
