Good solid piece. Locks well when opened. It does not lock when closed. The screws are a bit long if you are using 3/4 wood. I was using 2x4’s so it was fine.

These are super heavy duty and will work perfectly.

Very good quality locking hinges. They are well made and have a positive locking system which includes springs and a release lever. I’m confident that these locking hinges will hold up the table extension that I made securely. That being said, I will include a note of caution though. When looking for the proper placement of the hinges (to allow for swing-out, that is not included in the instructions) I opened the hinges to the locked position and one of my fingers got caught between two moving metal pieces. This caused my fingers to be pinched and I couldn’t release the locking mechanism with the one hand I had available. Where it was pretty painful, the skin was not broken and I managed to wiggle my finger free. I wouldn’t change the design of the hinge but please be aware of potential pinch points. Once the hinge was in place, the danger of pinch points was greatly reduced. I would purchase this product again because of the quality and smooth operation.

These hinges are tough and heavily built but they are finger pinching things!!.. The latching mechanism is strong but very stiff and will pinch you really good because it wasn’t overly intuitive how to work them… But, I did buy them for the latching mechanism so more operator error I guess.. They lock solidly which makes my application much safer and more stable… Highly recommend this latching hinge just be careful…

Perfect for our use (hideaway bunk). They are solid, lock in place, and release easily. Price was exceptional too.

I got it to attach to 2x4 boards like it shows in photo but they are not the same size as ones in photo. Much smaller.

ork great and well made. Used these for table legs in the garage. Now I can fold the legs and put the table away when not using it. Product seems to be well made and work great. The crafstmanship is great.
