This is a threshold ramp for a doorway.It's made out of solid aluminum so it's very strong, looks nice too.Quality looks fine and price is OK.

This is a nicely made item. I got it because I have a section of concrete that has shifted and there is about a 0.5 to 0.75" of raised area that I am worried about people tripping over. Unfortunately, I was not able to use this on the section that has the 0.75" raised area because the area is not straight, so the transition strip does not sit flat and jiggles. I think that also makes it easy to displace, so I slid it over to where it was straight, which is the section that is only about 0.5" raised and isn't really in the path where people walk. However, it will help me when I have to move the usually, very heavy trashcans because I won't have to tug to get it over that raised section. I tried moving a full can and it goes smoothly either way with only a slight metal noise. The sound is much less than if I move the trashcan without the transition strip there. I didn't glue it down because I don't have any glue for it, but I have a hose that is right there and I used it to weight one side down so that it is more likely to stay in place. I like that it is black because you can see it well on concrete. I'm not sure how long it will hold up against the weight of the trashcans, but I don't move the cans often, so...

At the farm house, the dining room floor has shifted enough from the drought that it's about a half inch or more lower than the kitchen floor. I used this metal threshold in conjunction with a vinyl threshold to bridge the gap between two floors to cover up where the vinyl in the kitchen floor was starting to peel and create a ramp for my iRobot. The robot vacuum was struggling to climb up into the kitchen as it was catching on the vinyl floor that was peeling up. I run a strip of vinyl threshold to seal down the vinyl flooring that was peeling and then placed this metal threshold over the top. It's a perfect width to allow the robot to drive right up into the kitchen now and not get hung up.I cut this threshold to fit using a chop saw. The chop saw moved right through it with no trouble. My only complaint is that it didn't come with screws or pre-drilled holes. I would like to have at least seen pre-drilled holes and some flush mounting screws to go with it as I didn't have appropriate screws.I drilled my own holes with a metal bit but had to try a couple of different screws before I found some that work. I may have to find some different ones if we find these catch our feet passing through.

Easy to cut with a metal saw. Installs in under a minute. Sturdy and will hold up for a long time

It seems to be a bit noisy but it is mostly because it is not glued or attached in any way since it didn't come with anything that will set it in place. I temporarly used some thin towels underneath it to dampen the noise but I plan on getting some heavy duty double sided tape to glue it in place. So far, it has been very helpful and did not bend.
