I USED TO flush “flushable”, biodegradable cat litter (and only the clumps) down the toilet. Big mistake!! It actually BLOCKED the drain and the outside manhole cover had to be removed and the drain flushed for ages to clear it!! I watched the job being done.....and it was definitely cat litter! The guy who did the work (not cheap, by the way), said that he’d done quite a few “unblock drain jobs” due to cat litter!! He said that some houses have narrower external drain pipes than others. If you empty any soiled clumped litter at least once EVERY DAY, it’s not that much (and significantly better for your cat to ALWAYS have a nice clean litter tray to use) and the clumps or any soiled parts of litter can be placed in a small bag, and put in the household bin. I use the small black plastic bags with handles that you can tie up tightly so the bag is “sealed” with no smell. The small bags are dirt (pardon the pun) cheap. So NO!! Do NOT flush cat litter down your loo!!

I know it’s unscented so no scent has been added, but does it have a natural smell? My cat refused World’s Best because of the natural corn smell

Hi Michelle - I just went out and smelt the litter again for you (!) I don't think it really smells of anything - maybe very slightly kind of 'fresh' but not really of anything. The one thing I would say is that its the best cat litter we have ever used at absorbing smells and our cat loves it (and he's very fussy). Hope that helps.

Can anyone tell me how many kg there's in a 10l box? i always buy by price/kg ratio, not used to preice/l. thanks in advance.
