When looking for phone cases for my iPhone 16, I knew I needed one which covered the camera control button. I was worried when buying this, that it might not pick up the sensitivity on it anymore but after using it, I must say it works a charm! To make things even better, this phone cases (unlike all previous ones I have owned) actually squeezes the phone. It makes it a challenge to put it on but once it’s on, you know it’s not coming off. This I by far the most durable phone case I have owned and I would not fear of any drops with my phone in it. Onto some potential negatives, the only area this phone case does not cover on my iPhone 16 is around the camera lenses. Now this isn’t a problem alone, as the lenses are actually the most durable part of the phone and need no protection whatsoever, but it does cause a bit of a dust build up, which I have to clean off every once in a while with a dampened cotton swab. Also, with it being a clear case, there could be the potential issue of yellowing. I’ve only used this case for a few months so I haven’t came across any issues yet and also with my phone being black, it would most likely be hard to even see any yellowing without taking the case off but depending on the colour of your phone, this could be a potential issue to consider. People act as if you need to buy an otterbox to protect your phone but you really don’t. This will give you more than enough protection in all areas that could possibly require it - and there is the added extra of MagSafe to allow for accessories as well! Although the cost may seem slightly intimidating for just a phone case, when you compare it to others which offer the same level of protection and the same level of features (such as MagSafe), you just can’t beat the price. Unless you want to spend more on a different phone case, then I wouldn’t sleep on it because I seriously think this phone case is worth every penny!

This isn’t the most exciting case and I’ve brought lots of others since buying this but I keep going back to this case. It’s a clear design, offers some grip, not too bulky and the buttons are responsive. There is a slight raise on the front to offer protection for the screen if you like to put it face down and the camera part is closed. Overall a really solid case for everyday use and it’s become my favourite, beating far more expensive cases.

I’m so disappointed, I used the same case for my iPhone 16 pro max last year, it was brilliant, I had a translucent black one. Thought it made sense to get the same case again for my 17 Pro max, and while this case looks the part, it’s great to look at, the buttons for the volume and power are horrendous. They aren’t cut outs like last year with a satisfying click, they are pieces of the plastic under an embossed part of the case side. They feel so mushy, there isn’t a great deal to differentiate the case side from the buttons either. The camera control button is also subpar this time around, I’d say only recognises swipes around 1 in 5 attempts, although pressing it is relatively decent. The case itself does feel pretty sturdy, I was looking for a case that covered up the plateau as I’m convinced it will be scratched to hell in the absence of glass, and this does fit the bill in that way. The case is a nice thickness that should protect from drops and bumps and the ridge between the screen and the sides should reduce scratches when placed face down. I really want to like this case, it’s a great size, easy to fit, and has good, strong MagSafe magnets, BUT I just can’t get over the buttons, they are so much worse than last years :( If you aren’t as particular as me when it comes to button feel on your case, this looks to be a great choice, but for me, the buttons feel so mushy and cheap that I’m considering returning it.

I tried a few cases before settling on this one for my iPhone 17 Pro. The Spigen Ultra Hybrid T MagFit Case fits well, and the buttons feel good - they're easy to press and have good tactile feedback. The grip feels good - not too grippy like silicone cases, but more grippy than the caseless phone on its own. A unique advantage of this case, compared to many other cases I've tried (such as Apple's clear case), is that you can fit a physical credit card / travel card behind the phone (inside the case) and it still fits fine with buttons all working properly. This is useful to me as a Londoner as I keep my Oyster card in my phone case so that it's always with me. It is worth nothing the case covering the camera plateua isn't for everyone; personally I'd prefer to keep that area open to allow for better thermal performance and heat dissipation, but other than that the case is great.

I bought this Spigen case for my iPhone 17 Pro Max specifically because I wanted a clear case that would actually stay clear. Unfortunately, the "anti-yellowing" claims are a total myth. After only 2 months of normal use, the edges have turned a nasty, dingy yellow/brown color. It makes a brand-new, expensive phone look old and dirty. For a premium brand like Spigen, I expected the UV resistance to last at least a year, not just a few weeks. To their credit, customer service offered a refund, but only after I literally had to destroy the case and send photos of it broken to prove it was unusable. It’s a lot of hoop-jumping for a product that failed to meet its basic advertising. If you want a case that stays clear, look elsewhere. This one hasn't solved the yellowing problem at all. Pros: Good fit. Cons: Turns yellow extremely fast, tedious warranty process.
