I recently upgraded my internet to speeds over 2Gb, and this BrosTrend 5Gb PCIe Network Card has handled it with ease. For the price, you really can’t beat the performance.Just a heads up: you will need to install the driver on your Windows PC for the card to properly recognize the 5000Mbps link speed. Without the driver, it will cap out at 2500Mbps, so make sure to download and install it first! Why did you pick this product vs others?:This product does not break the bank at all and is backed by many good reviews, which is the first thing I always look for, especially when it comes to my computer products. Ease of installation:Installation is simple as simple can be. It took me 30 seconds to plug it into my motherboard and install the set screw. Couldn’t be any easier than that!Connectivity:As soon as i turned my computer on, it was recognized and ready to be used. Plugged in the ethernet cable and it immediately went to work. Increasing my network speed and allowing me to use my internet once more!

Works great. The only wrinkle was during installation. My motherboard has a Qualcomm chipset. I installed this new PCI network adapter and the provided Realtek drivers and then activated this adapter in Device Manager. I disabled the motherboard's Qualcomm adapter in Device Manager. Settings reported that this new board was working properly, but I could not connect to the Internet with my LAN cable connected to this new adapter. As an experiment, I connected my LAN cable back to the LAN connection on my motherboard. This reestablished Internet access. Go figure! My download speed has gone from under 100Mb/s to the maximum speed from my cable service provider, 275Mb/s.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Price was substantially cheaper than the 10 gb cards. My service is 3 gb so this fits perfect. Extremely easy to install hardware and software(drivers). Worked the first try with 3 gb file transfers.

Works great, Doubled my speeds! Just what I needed and they have the software on their site. So far, Win 11 drivers are working fine

A little skeptical about other reviews saying it dies after short time. But I downloaded the driver from their website and this network adapter works 100%. Drivers weren't hard to find and the installation was super simple. I have it plugged into a PCIE3.2 slot. Connectivity close to 5gigs.

I first ordered the TP-Link tx401 10gb and it dropped connection every couple of seconds. I tried everything to get it working but looking in event viewer it said hardware failure and handshake error in my router live view. I returned it and ordered this 5gb network card. I installed it and windows instantly recognized it. I updated the drivers for it from the BrosTrend website because windows installed drivers from 2015, but they did work. The card is fast and stable and hasn't dropped my connection one time. My ping is lower, and websites load quicker. I highly recommend this card and would buy it again if I need another one.

Don’t buy after a week or 2 of using it every so often your Ethernet just cuts out the only way to bring it back is to unplug and plug it back in and then it’ll come back after like 20 minutes I’ve bought two of them thinking the first was a dud and then the second one did it as well I ran tests it not my computer I used another computer and had the same thing happen.
