Boombox CD and Cassette Player Combo, 5000mAh Bluetooth CD Player

I just received my CD-W16 Boombox Combo, and my first impressions are that it is a feature rich device and does a lot for such a small audio player and recorder. Thanks to this device, I can get rid of at least four separate devices; tape player, CD player, radio, and speaker! It was well packaged to prevent damage and it was an attractive arrangement. When it first arrived, it made a good impression. I very quickly went through the instructions and realized that it had more features than expected. I really like that in addition to the CD and tape player, it has bluetooth, USB, MP3, and aux features. In particular, I am very pleased to see that I can play it while it is plugged in and charging, and it has a remote yet the remote is not required. It also records onto a micro SD card. Additionally, it has an auxiliary plug for headphones should one not have bluetooth headphones. The design is very pleasing and functional. It is compact yet very easy to use and intuitive. It is roughly 6.5 inches wide (approximately 165 mm), 5.5 inches tall (140 mm), and 7.5 inches deep (190 mm). There is a handle as well as an antenna on the rear. I have only tested the CD player and the tape player so far. The controls are pretty standard with one exception. There is an EQ button that I haven't tested yet. Supposedly it adjusts the sound based upon the type of music. The types are Flat (I have no idea what that is supposed to be), Pop, Jazz, and Classical. I am not sure how much difference this will make given the size of the speakers, and how light the entire unit is. To be honest, I didn't expect much however the sound is decent and I am pleased with it. I will be using this while I build models, work around the house or in the barn, and other such activities. I will, as often as not, connect it to a good set of headphones or the Soundtable. The sound is better than that of my phone or laptop. All in all, the sound is good enough with opportunities to connect to better speakers. I have not tested the recording. It records onto a cassette tape which is giving me flashbacks! It will record from a CD, USB, Bluetooth, AUX, or radio. I believe that you can also record from a mini SD card. I was wondering if I would like it when I ordered and I have to say that you has exceeded my expectations. I hope that in six months my feelings are the same but based upon my initial observations, I feel good about the future but I will update this in a half year or so.

This little unit continues to surprise me . . . Not only does it have cassette player, CD player, radios, USB stick player, AUX IN, & Bluetooth capability & a decent sound & volume, it can also transmit the currently playing selection over Bluetooth to some other larger Bluetooth speakers or BT headphones . . . And it is compact & lightweight & it is powered by its internal rechargeable battery (no A/C cord) with USB-C charging port . . . I haven't tested how long the battery charge lasts but it hasn't died on me yet . . . Very pleasantly surprised with this unit . . .

You gotta try this portable stereo. At first I was skeptical I’ll admit, but after receiving this a day ago I put it to the test and was very impressed! My favorite radio station that usually comes in weak on my other radio(s) I have been using, NOW comes in strong with this one. And the BLUETOOTH function work’s excellent. EVERYTHING I have BT connects! From headphones, earphones, speakers etc some quite new and older BT devices. That makes me very happy. The diversity of this unit is just awesome. Even my older IPod Nano 5th Gen that is loaded with tunes, all my CD’s, TF-cards I have, USB drives I have, and cassettes I have can now all be enjoyed on this ONE great unit. And the sound that comes from it is fresh crisp and clear , especially when you choose your favorable EQ setting that is at your fingertips. The portability and freedom of having its own on-board battery is a game changer too, at least for me. Im at the pool, at the pole-barn, around the house, or out in the back 40 , I’m lovin it. For being able to travel and listen to what you like in practically any format you choose to use, this is going to be my main go-to device I grab. It’s kinda nice to be excited about something these days and for me this is it. It reminds me of how excited I was when I got my first iPod! And the remote is the cherry on top. I now will embark on a mission to revisit my music and audio-book collections in a treehouse if I so desire, or ANYWHERE for that matter. Music and stories can touch your mind, people, and whoever else is within listening range and this portable unit can make that happen. I’m very pleased with owning this portable boom box. I feel like I went “Back to the Future “ literally. AND after the battery was FULLY charged, first thing you want to do when you first get it, I turned it on and the very first song I heard that had just started playing was: The theme to “Miami Vice”. to me that was so cool! I like this little box I’d give it a five but the chord and sd card was not in box. And the box was taped over sloppily and very beat up I had serious doubts, but my had USB cords that work and I’m sure SD cards around here so it’s forgiven. I really like it! Very small but loud enough for me. Very light and it is rechargeable I’ve been playing my old cassette on the first charge for probably three hours now because that takes a lot more battery power than the CD player radio does of course so I’m impressed with that cause I’ve had to rewind some It’s a great ! Can play CDs MP3‘SD card cassettes, and it has Bluetooth recieves and transmits and can record cds to cassette. Old school !

So far, so good. Easy to understand, CD player works fine, cassette player works fine, AM \ FM sound good. Good volume. Good item for price.

It truly has all the capabilities mentioned. I am using it to play my CDs at home on my Bluetooth headpiece, and my family does not have to hear the music. It's great to be able to take it to another room, unlike a stereo. The sound is as good as my stereo from the 1990's. I also take it to play kids' music when I care for children.

I was NOTable to pair this newly purchased CD-W16 to my Windows 11 laptop in bluetooth transmitting mode. It did successfully pair as a bluetooth receiver, but that is not the reason why I bought this unit. I tried resetting the unit several times between each attempt. Still no luck. The laptop can only pair to CD-W16 as a bluetooth receiver, which then plays sound from the laptop through the CD-W16 speakers. I did follow the instructions in the user manual. Attempt to pair with laptop as an input device , BUT it never discovers the CD-W16 as a bluetooth transmitter. Having read the user manual several times, and trying several different sequences, I am convinced that this unit's bluetooth hardware or software FOR TRANSMITTING BLUETOOTH is not compatible with a modern Windows laptop bluetooth. Maybe it works with some specific brands or types of bluetooth earphones, but that is not why I purchased this unit. (I wanted to record some CD tapes using the bluetooth signal as an input to my laptop.)

Very happy with this purchase. It is easy to use and works very well with my hearing impairment using my bluetooth headphones. I can enjoy my belived mysic once again.

Boombox 👌 excelente, llego rápido y en perfectas condiciones. Me encantó, hice una excelente compra, hoy puedo disfrutar todos mis cassettes viejitos y volver a recordar lindos tiempos, el audio es bastante y claro, cd's se escuchan igualmente muy bien. Lo compré en color negro y a un excelente precio. Trae su control, y el radio fm se escucha en algunas frecuencias bien y otras no muy bien, pero lo más importante para mi son la cassetera y Cd's. ( la música que se escucha es con USB) . Además la batería es recargable, y me será muy útil para cuando salga a la playa, o en los tiempos de invierno cuando suele irse la electricidad, hasta ahorita a funcionado bastante bien, tarda en cargar completamente, pero me parece bien, ya que cuando lo utilizo en casa lo tengo conectado a la corriente de luz. Muy satisfecha con mi compra. Gracias al vendedor y amazon.
