Ring is very shiny and is better quality than I expected. Plastic ring has a very good gold cladding. It is hollow though so be careful not to crush it.

Great Costume Prop. But not suitable for kids
My 4 year old daughter was Sonic this Halloween, she loved it. Very big, shiny gold color, and a sturdy piece. But 2 days after Halloween my niece who is the same age somehow got it over her head and is now stuck. Will update once we figure out how to get it off....
