The Vicohome CQ4 2K solar security camera works impressively well for outdoor monitoring. Setup was straightforward, and it connected to the Wi-Fi without any trouble. The solar panel that comes with it is solid quality and keeps the battery charged easily, even with regular use. Video and picture quality are crisp both day and night — the color night vision is a standout. It records smoothly and lets you store footage either on an SD card or through an optional cloud subscription. The two-way audio is another great feature; the sound quality is clear enough to communicate without distortion. Motion detection responds quickly, and the built-in siren and flashlight add an extra layer of security. Altogether, it’s reliable, practical, and well worth it for hassle-free outdoor surveillance.

So i needed a camera for the right side of the house. The door camera only sees the front of the house. I'm always looking for a bargain, but i didn't want something cheap either. The SOVMIKU A1 wireless/ night vision camera, seemed to cover my wants and needs, and also has added features i wasn't aware of. I like the fact that its wireless and no changing batteries like the door camera. The 360° coverage was a huge feature for me. The added two year cloud coverage and SD card storage was an added bonus. I wanted something that was night vision equipped and also sound. The smart infrared feature is awesome, the full color night vision is an added caveat . The PIR-AI is new to me but it looks so cool. The 3.8 watt solar panel will definitely keep, the built in battery charged. This isn't a small camera which to me is awesome. I wanted something that was sturdy and made well. The fit and finish of the components are impressive. Everything you need is included, from screws to the complete mounting brackets. The manual is very well done, and will guide you for a complete and successful installation. For the price this camera checks all the boxes, and offers more features than you knew you wanted. This will definitely help keeping an eye on the cars at night, with no need to get up. You use the app, to view in real time what's going on outside your house. The Wi-Fi set up is easy peasy. This is really a great value for the money.

After hearing about a few recent break-ins in my neighborhood, I decided to upgrade my home security by buying a few cameras. I live on a corner lot with limited lighting around my home, and I needed several viewpoints without breaking the bank. The ability to pan/tilt the camera makes it easy to view my property lines without having to have 50 cameras pointed every-which-way. It's convenient and easy to control through the app, so no complaints there. The included solar panel is solid. I've got the panel on the top of my roof in direct sunlight and the battery level hasn't budged since the installation. Still, there is an internal battery that can be charged if you don't want to use the panel, or if you'd prefer to plug it into an outlet directly. The set-up through the VicoHome app was very easy, just hold down the power button and add the device through the app. From there, the app gives recommendations on where to install the camera for the best results, pretty straight forward stuff. I'm pleased with the build quality of the camera itself. It's lightweight but it doesn't feel cheap. All the ports and electrical bits have thick rubber gaskets for waterproofing, there's nothing exposed to the elements so I expect the camera itself to last. The night vision is very crisp and captures motion well. The second photo is using the included LED spotlights; it's very bright and some slight blurring does occur but it's still clear enough to make out everything. For the motion detecting, I've not had any issues outside of a false positive where a bug kept flying by the sensor. Not really the fault of the camera itself but something to note if you live in a place with a lot of movement activity. Overall, a big thumbs up from me!

Update after 2 years of use: The two cameras I bought have continued working over the past two years, showing the products are excellent quality that unlike many other products I bought on Amazon that stopped working after this long period. One of them occasionally disconnect from the home WiFi network, but I think that's mostly due to the WiFi extend that I use, and the camera reconnects with no problem after reset the WiFi extender. The recording stop issue I discussed early is still there, although so far it has not caused any problem. Hopefully we can get a software update in the future. ================================================ Updated after more than one month of use: When I first saw this product, I thought it has all the key features that I need: It can do motion detection with a notification to the mobile phone, accepting a SD card to store recorded videos, allow phone to view videos, and also has built-in flashing light and alarm sound for signaling detection. Most of all, it supports solar power, so I won't ever need to worry about recharging the battery, and I can add a SD card to retreat videos any time without paying for monthly fees. So with these features, I bought two of these and installed them at my front door and above garage. However, after some time of use, I see there's a problem with this product: the video it takes is only 1 min long, and after it is triggered by motion and starts the video recording, it will not continue record after the 1-min recording is over, until several minutes later. So it misses capture anything happened after the first 1 min is over, and you can not set the video to be longer than 1 min even if you have enough memory on the SD card to store longer videos. The problem with this design fault is that, for example, if someone comes to your house and triggered the video recording, it recorded someone arrives, but then the video stops, and if the person happens to be a thief and starts opening your doors or taking stuff away after the first minute, none of the activities will be recorded, because the camera goes into a wait mode. This functional faulty basically made this camera useless to be a true security monitoring camera. If the camera or its software can allow users to set the recording time to be longer, say, 2-5 min, or, after 1-min recording is over, if there's still motion to be detected, continue with the next recording immediately, instead of waiting for a long time before the recording works again, this problem can be fixed, but the camera or the SW does not offer that option. So I see this is a serious defects in product function. I have reported this issue to the seller to ask them pass this feedback to the manufacturer, and hopefully they will issue a software update to resolve this issue.

This is one more update for this product. The other day I got an email survey from this company asking me to review their technical support! Have to admit, either they are really stupid or never read any of my emails that I sent to them. Hopefully they take what I wrote in their survey to heart and improve their support. I am not betting on it and neither should you. This is an update to the review that I wrote previously below. My long term experience with these cameras have been horrible. Initially I bought two of them. After a few weeks, one of the cameras cannot reliably connect to the Vico Home app on my phone. The other camera has a battery that will not charge even on the most sunny of days. I have sent a large number of emails to technical support. One tech, by the name of Sherry, was anything but helpful. She kept asking me for more details. I supplied all the information I had after two emails back and forth. She kept sending me emails looking for more information which did not matter and was irrelevant to the problem with the cameras. Of course now, I cannot return them for a refund. In my opinion, these cameras are a very STRONG DO NOT BUY! Save your money. You will experience nothing but aggravation with the product and with the support! I looked all over the web for suitable cameras to provide coverage for my entire property. Most of them either got mediocre or poor reviews for their image quality, battery life and difficulty to set up and pair. Because of their locations and the difficulty charging batteries on some units, I decided to opt for solar powered cameras. At my age, I do not need to climb ladders to replace or charge batteries. The cameras arrived and I fully charged them with a wall outlet adapter. They took less than 30 minutes to come to a full charge. I proceeded to read the very easy to ollow directions to pair them with my network. It took me less than 10 minutes to successfully pair both cameras. The video quality is outstanding as is the capture field of view. It works well at night also. Good resolution and color all things considered. I am totally happy with these two cameras. I will probably buy a couple of additional ones. Thank you Sovmiku! This is an update to my prior reviews. I have been living with these useless pieces of junk for a year now. I would give them negative stars if I could. The cameras spend more time being disconnected from my network than connected. They do not always reconnect. The video is "choppy" and does not slow "live" motion. There are delays and pauses in the video. The battery life is the worst in any wireless device I have ever used. The solar panels get hours of direct sun. Two of the panels were replaced due to being defective. They were supplied at no charge which was nice of Vico. No real improvement. Batteries often go dead overnight. Do not waste your time or money on these pieces of junk. They are not worth the aggravation, financial outlay and disappointment.

This camera has great video and long lasting battery. Easy setup. Only returning because i thought it would scan and monitor 355 degrees. I would recommend this item.

The cameras are reasonably simple to set up and install. The range of view is exceptional. Adding to the range of view is the camera's ability to pan and tilt, giving it a far greater range than a fixed position camera. The motion sensitivity works as expected. I'm using micro SD cards for local storage of recorded videos. Deleting images from the cloud storage can be done by individual images or a selection of images. The one frustration I have is that there isn't any way to delete the videos from the SD card. I can't delete single videos and I can't delete a selection of videos. So they just collect. At some point, I will have to remove the SD card from the camera, which is easier said than done now that it is up fairly high from the ground, or I will have to reformat the SD card to wipe it clean and start over. This inability to delete videos from local storage is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Except for this, it would have been 5 stars. Perhaps the next app update will provide a fix for this issue.

I have bought cameras from them multiple times always reliable great quality. The programming is always very simple and easy to set up recording and lighting is accurate and easy to see. Definitely a very good bang for your buck adjusting and moving camera is very easy and convenient.

Notifications of any movement are from 5 to 25 minutes quality isn’t the greatest doesn’t always pick up vehicles or people not really worth the money
