Big improvement over the RX100M2
Start by saying I've had a M2 for several years, but as I also shoot DSLRs I find it hard to shoot without a viewfinder. I've had the M3 for a few weeks now, and the included photos were from a trip to the National Museum of the USAF in Dayton Ohio. All are straight from the camera JPEGs using the Dynamic Range optimiser. I was amazed! The lens has less zoom than the M2, but is wider at the wide end. Most people will find that the wider angle is much more useful for normal, travel, or life photos. It's also faster (lets in more light), and sharper! Processor is better and faster. Viewscreen flips all the way up so you can use it as a selfie machine. The menus are much easier to navigate then the M2 with a tiled mode that makes it easier to get to the sections you want much faster. The viewfinder is BRILLIANT! Looks tiny, but it's clear, sharp, and bright! Diopter adjustment is a small lever on top of the viewfinder, smooth and easy to adjust as needed.Another new thing, you can direct download apps to the camera including updates. I've seen some reviewers complain about the limited options you have when controlling the camera with your smartphone. I don't think they realise that you can download an update with allows for much more remote control of the camera including touching the phones screen to select your focus point.Highly recommend this camera especially when you can get a refurbished one for $500 like I did from 6Ave Electronics.

The camera is on usable for an English-speaking person.
The entire workings of the camera including the menus was in Japanese. There is no way to change the language. SONY designates the language to be on the camera based on where the camera is being shipped and sold. I am very disappointed because the camera itself seem to be just like new, but I really don’t have the time to learn Japanese.

Super camera in a compact package
This camera has most of the options that a much more expensive one would have. The viewer is exceptional. The 1.8 lens allows you to take quality photos in very little light. The zoom is only 7x but ample for me. It is a little heavy for its size, but it packs huge possibilities if your an avid photographer. While not inexpensive, you won't be disappointed. This is a great companion to my much larger and more costly professional equipment.

Purchased for Vacation
I purchased this camera for vacation so I didn't have to take my pro DSLR, but wanted something that would allow me to shoot in RAW format. I was hoping for more zoom than this allows, but as a photographer who shoots mainly with a fixed lens, I made do. It is a nicely weighted, hand-held camera. Very happy with this purchase and the quality of images.

Outstanding point and shoot.
This camera is incredibly small for all that it offers. The lens is excellent for this sort of collapsing zoom. I can take this anywhere and its speed and accuracy lets me get images I would miss with my Leica M 10. It is a point shoot and there are inherent limits to what it can do, but I don't care because photography is about the pictures and the images I get with this are dandy.

What I was looking for.
I wanted a pocket-able camera with an excellent lens. this is it!

Not worth buying refurbished
Entire camera was set to Korean when I got it. I had to use a translating app to translate the text images live to figure out how to change the language. The charger with it is not a Sony- it looks like a white apple wall charger. There is no manual included.

Great shots. Wish zoom were a little stronger and wish flash popped up automatically.
