This is a great well-made folding kitchen knife.
Hi, I purchased this knife to use when dining out. It cuts vegetables and steak like butter. No more dull steak knives for me! The blade is wide and very sharp, making it a perfect slicer. The handle when open sits above the blade so that you have full blade contact when cutting or chopping. I find this knife is also very useful in my kitchen. I can chop vegetables for meals and remove fat from my meats. As far as the knife goes it's self the fit and finish are outstanding. It also comes with a very nice black case which makes it easy to carry in your pocket. Now what this knife is not: It is not a folding hunter knife. It is not a woodmans knife. It is not a prybar. It is also not to be used for heavy cutting of any kind. Having a very fin blade it would just chip out in wood or any dense material. However, if used for what it is made for it will last you a lifetime of food preparation. Having used knives for over 50 years. I can tell you a lot about knives. In my opinion, anything bad you may have read about this knife needs to be taken with a grain of salt. If you use a knife for what it is not intended for you will always be unhappy. My father taught me to always use the correct tools for the job and your skills and happiness will always be better.

Great Camp Kitchen Knife
Great lightweight folding kitchen knife. Great for camping or even regular kitchen use. Easy to keep clean, easy to sharpen. No complaints!

Tactical santoku
Black blade/black G10 version. If one wishes to carry a "backpocket" folding santoku for defense, this is certainly the knife. Built well, holds nice, smooth opening, sharp out-the-box. Just plain cool to fidget. Three sets of jimping for multiple hold points. Since it is shaped like the Japanese kitchen knife, I had to try it on some veggies. Too much drag compared to a satin finished blade. Thin enough, but a tad thinner would cut veggies better. If I wanted to cook with it, I'd recommend the non-black version. Cool knife. Very glad I added this to the pile.

Kitchen knife galore
That's what I'm using it for. Cutting rolls of ground sausage for breakfast. What's nice is being able to fold the knife up. Protecting the edge and protecting me. Why I bought this knife, in the first place, was purely based on the design. The pivot uses an offset pin. The screws you think are the pin. Are nothing more then decorative. Because the pivot pin is offset, it's easy to deploy the blade with low effort. The use of only one spacer makes the knife light and easy to handle. Good balance. I don't know if Civivi really intended for the knife to be a kitchen knife but that's what it is.

Perfect travel companion!
I purchased this knife as a travel knife, as I detest the knives at any rental properties we visit (or even friend's houses). My only reservation was the size, and whether it would be too small. But to my surprise, it wasn't and I enjoyed using this knife in the kitchen. My preferred knife style are santoku's, and was shocked to see a pocket sized one that is compact, but actually useable for kitchen prep! I purchased this and sent to an airbnb that we were visiting, and was so glad! This became the knife we all used during our stay, and it met all our needs. In addition, I could carry it with me on our daily outings, and have used it when we were out for various tasks. My only concern is just trapping any raw food in between handle, so have to wash it thoroughly, unlike fixed blades with solid handles. But for the sake of convenience and portability, this is something I'm willing to pay extra attention to. We all thoroughly enjoy this knife and will be bringing it with us on vacation from now on.
