Pricey but great
Pricey but worth it if you have had an Ambilight tv in the past but not got it anymore.I updated my tv to 4k but didn’t have Ambilight but now I do but you will need Philips bulbs and the bridge which I already had otherwise it’s a costly upgrade.

Great but issues with Denon and Home Automation. Very expensive.
It’s a Hue Sync box. The cost was good compared to other places although still very costly for what it actually does. I use it with 2x gradient light strips (4m long) horizontal run at ceiling level and 2x light bars mounted on the vertical. I found setup problematic with Denon AVRs if you want to use Music sync. It can be achieved by using the 2nd zone HDMI; but my solution for music from the tablet and using air play was not good. Therefore needed an AppleTv for the music sync and air playing to the appletv and not the dennon. There’s a lot of experiences online with this issue. Otherwise a good bit of kit. Note if using with home automation the 8K box may not have an API out and the 4K is not compatible .

Hue lighting is epic
The media could not be loaded. I love Hue lighting, well worth the money and I would invest in the whole system for the best experience

Super convenient
This hue lighting box makes controlling your lighting system super easy and really convenient. I absolutely love having a lit up TV area because it really immerses me in the movie I'm watching - that's my absolute favourite thing about this. You do need to get the bridge and the hue lights separately, but I already had those so it was just about switching everything over to run on the hue box, which was a really simple process. I will admit, the entire setup is very expensive, just for some lighting, but it completely changes how you view movies or listen to music, it adds a massive atmospheric element to your experience, which really does immerse you and make things that much better, so for me it's actually worth every penny.

Nonsense but sync box
This product out of the blue just stopped working…..for no reason whatsoever this was about 7/8 weeks after purchase!!! Then not only was I being told I can’t return the product to Amazon. I must contact the third party seller which is Philips Hue however they also just sent me on a complete goose chase, one dead end after another.! I’m sorry however ANY product costing almost £300.should not just breakdown in a matter of weeksHighly disappointing

Expensive but brilliant at what it does
Capable of delivering an amazing experience but you need Hue lights and a bridge already to use. What the box does is translate video signals into light controls so that your mood lighting matches the screen and with well positioned lighting delivers a whole-room experience to your home cinema. It's easy to set up and supports pretty much any current HDMI output whether it be a BluRay, cable or games console. The flat black box is minimalist and stylish, blending casually into the background of your setup.

Great box but the setup was a pain!
The box itself, when I finally got it working is great. But, it struggled to work on my WiFi, I have many devices on my 2.4ghz network and after hours of deleting, defaulting bridges, having to repair lights, moving the box to another location to prove local interference, I decided to create a new 2.4ghz network on my spare guest network and enabled intranet so the only device on it is my sync box and it worked straight away. I’m sure most will plug it in and it will work, mine wasn’t straight forward.
