I have searched great lengths for a reef safe sunscreen and I think this is a great option. I have recently used this sunscreen on my Italy trip and have not burnt at all. I find a little goes a long way which is good as it is an expensive product. Yes, this will absolutely give you a white cast as it is physical sunscreen, however I used this sunscreen on the beach every day, boat trips, snorkelling etc and tbh I didn't really care if it left me with a white cast as my main priority was protection from sun and that the sunscreen was reef safe. Would I use this as an every day sunscreen? No. But for a water activities, I think its brilliant and I will be re-purchasing for my next trips.

Recently fought this for my husband as he has been advised to protect his skin from uv. He works outside & found it is very effective. It does give a slight white tone in his skin which he doesn’t like… but a small price to pay for good protection on his face & neck!

Overview: This sunscreen is great in nearly all areas, but unfortunately falls short in one critical aspect for me, which is why I can't personally use it. As far as ingredients go, this sunscreen is excellent. It's a mineral only sunscreen and has no denatured alcohol, and the zinc particles are non-nano for those who don't like micronised zinc. I was extremely impressed that on my skin (Fitzpatrick Type 3), I don't get any white cast, and it only took me about 15 seconds to fully rub the cream in. However, I find the cream to be a bit sticky/greasy/shiny, which I personally don't mind as I have dry skin but might bother others. The one aspect that this sunscreen falls short in, is the fact that it has fragrance. It's fragranced with grapefruit oil, and has a light grapefruit scent, but unfortunately this irritates my sensitive eczema prone skin, so I can't use the product. However, even though I can't use it myself I've still given it 4 stars as that's a personal issue. The sunscreen itself definitely works, doesn't leave a white cast (for me, but deeper skin tones might get a white cast) and is very affordable, especially for mineral sunscreen. Summary: If you don't have sensitive skin/skin that reacts to fragrance, then buy this. If you do react to fragrance/essential oils then probably avoid it.

it protects you from the sun. Its a heavy paste that does need adequate time to apply. I didn’t get burnt whilst in 30 degree(c) heat in Belize while using this. I was on a diving trip and reapplied it often between getting in and out of the water. One thing was that if wet or if you dont have enough time to dry it will rub onto mask or whatever else it touches. It doesnt stain clothing and will wash off of rubber. It will like alot of things sting if it washes into eyes so be mindful if you’re plastering it on kids. I used two of these over the course of a week in the sun which for the amount of times i had to apply was reasonable. Buy this if you want to help oceans from the 16,000L of sulphate infused suncreams that wash into it each year.

The goods: - Offers great protection; I've not had problems with burning using this product - Vegan and reef safe The bads: - Takes an incredibly long time to massage in, and still does leave a slight, but noticable white mask - Very expensive - Made my skin dry and flaky after use Not for me I don't think. I can get over the slight white mask as I was expecting that, but for me it makes my skin very dry.

Have bought this over and over again. Best sunscreen for kids. Has a thick consistency which needs work to spread out on skin but after that stays in place after a long time in the water.

Spent hours researching reef safe sunscreen, and all reviews stated this offered safe protection, good cover, and not too much white cast. Chuffing expensive at nearly £22 but I couldn’t bear the thought of poisoning the beautiful creatures we were snorkelling with so took the hit. This stuff is awful. Does not rub in so therefore doesn’t give good enough cover. Leaves thick, white casts which do not rub in. Also feels horribly greasy. And, after exhausting ourselves with the struggle to reapply it every 1-2hrs, we got severely burnt all, even the areas that were very well rubbed in. Dangerous, unsafe for use, horrid to apply. Very upset about the increased risk of skin cancer with burns as we are always so careful and have not burnt for years (using Tesco Soleil at £2.50 a bottle). I sincerely hope it at least protected the sea creatures as we persevered, but to our personal detriment. (And I do now wonder if even that was effective…). And all at a very hefty price tag. Poor.

This sun cream is amazing. I have just returned from 10 days in Turkey and it was 40 degrees most days. I like to get a bit of sun on me and the kids but worried that in temperatures like that, they would burn. This cream is amazing. With all natural ingredients I didn't have to worry about smearing toxic chemicals all over my loved ones. I applied before leaving the room and only had to reapply a on a couple of days. My kids were in the pool and the sea. They also were on slides and in the sun constantly. They have a lovely tan and no burning whatsoever. It also doesn't leave a massive white cast. I will 100% be using this cream the next time we go away. Best mineral cream I've used, by a long shot.

Waterproof and definitely protects you when doing water sports. Just note you will get white cast on your skin so use when you are about to go in water/to the beach rather than for everyday use.

Ganz besonders feine Textur, nicht wie die üblichen Cremes. Guter Sonnenschutz auch im Gebirge.
