Great product.On nighttime setting is whisper quiet yet provides a light movement of air across the room. At the next setting up (low) it is still probably quiet enough to sleep with (unless you are a very light sleeper) but provides a significant increase in airflow. Our bedroom is 15 x 12ft and the low setting is all we use at night having put the fan on a higher setting for a short while beforehand to cool the room down initially.At other settings the noise increases a bit but you won't be using those at night in the bedroom so thats not an issue. High setting clears the hot air from our conservatory in just a couple of minutes.It may be a bit big and obtrusive but as I tend to sleep with my eyes closed it doesn't bother me ;) .... This is the best alternative to a ceiling fan we have come across yet.

This fan is everything it claims to be. Utterly silent running on it's sleep mode and super efficient coolingon it's other modes. I bought other fans before buying this one - none of which were anywhere near quiet enough.I love it and will happily buy another when this one dies.

We bought this fan for its quiet running function for use in a quiet bedroom during the night. We found it's quiet function to be whisper quiet, we could hear the bedside quartz clock running over volume of the fan. Agreed it's not that powerful in quiet mode but if used after a blast at a higher speed we found it fine to leave running all night. Oddly, considering it is marketed as a quiet fan, I presume for use at night, it beeps every time you press a button, not really a problem as you are unlikely to press a button without being awake! But the silent / night mode button lights up quite brightly leaving a huge shadow of the fan on the ceiling. Again, not bright enough to be a problem if asleep but slightly distracting if reading in bed, I just don't see the point. It does as others say come with a euro plug so you will need an adaptor or cut off and fit your own if in U.K. But this will shorten the already short lead (approx 1.5m). Otherwise this is a robust fan, easy to assemble and operate.

Expensive? Yes. But the best fan I have ever owned. Quiet or virtually silent and superb turbo draught.

Whilst I acknowledge the fan is not "whisper quiet", it is very quiet compared to other fans I've tried. The five blades allow good movement of air at the slower speed. On whisper mode it would be sensible to move the fan closer. On the fastest settings it's as noisy as any other fan but extremely powerful. A Dyson bladeless fan may be quieter but I did check the airflow which is pretty poor. Hence, you would need it very close to get the benefit of being quiet. The Rowena fan as such is better value.
