EGR Battery Replacement for Dyson V6 Animal/Absolute/SV/DC Series Cordless Vacuums, Includes Filters

I bought the EGR 7000mAh 21.6V replacement battery for my Dyson V8 Absolute after the original battery started dying mid-clean. This one brought my vacuum back to life! The 7000mAh capacity noticeably extends the runtime — I can clean my whole apartment on a single charge, even with some time spent on the MAX setting. Installation was easy, took about 5 minutes with a small screwdriver which came with the kit. It fits perfectly and charges without any issues. Bought to replace the battery in my dyson v8 animal - perfect, very easy fit, came with a screwdriver driver and extra screws which is ideal. The battery life lasts significantly longer than the original battery which is noticeable when using full power. Charges using the original dyson charger. The build quality is great too. Having the filters included is an extra bonus and good value for money. Overall im happy with this purchase

The battery is very close to the original one in quality. You can buy it for about half the price and it works perfectly. After replacing my old battery, my Dyson’s suction power returned to normal.

Easy to replace, fits perfectly and works straight from the box, although not at 100%. It came with a small screwdriver and replacement screws but also three long filters and two of the round ones. Perfect job.

Whenever there is a need to replace an original part with a new part, there is always the question as to whether you replace it with the vendor’s original replacement (often expensive) or a “compatible with” part which is often cheaper, but provenance & quality may be questionable. In this case this replacement battery was without doubt a brilliant choice. We’ve had it a while now. It charges well, and holds its charge. In use, we see significantly more life from this battery than we ever saw from the original (which failed) and so can get plenty more cleaned up in one go. This battery has really rejuvenated our cordless, hand-held vacuum, and I might cheekily suggest that Dyson fit it as standard on the original unit!

Only had this item for 2 days but new battery working very well, and with new filter, dyson working better than it has for ages. Battery very easy to replace, definitely cheaper option than replacing hoover.

Just replaced the old battery and filter on my old Dyson which was bought 6 years ago, and I'm so glad I did! The installation was super easy-took only a fow minutes. My old battery was worn out and barely lasted 5 minutes, but after changing it, the suction power is back to strong and it runs for a long time again. The filter also fits perfectly. Feels like this replacement brought my Dyson back to life-totally worth it

Excellent charger, great price, you get the charger filters a screwdriver and screws to change your battery. It has made a difference to the suction of the vacuum. Would recommend it.

I have a Dyson V8 and the battery has been starting to run down a lot sooner. I got this which has a higher capacity. It came with the battery along with replacement screws, a screw driver and replacement filters for the intake and exhaust. The install was very simple, remove the three screws and the battery comes out very easily. Put the new one in it's place and replace the screws. While it came with replacement screws, I just used the original ones. They were a little longer. There is one screw on the handle and two under the hatch at the bottom (see pics) The replacement battery looks very similar with a few minor differences that you can't see once it's installed. The new battery does have a little rubber bumper patch that sits flush at the bottom which is a nice touch. Although the battery has a higher capacity, it's not any larger. The battery feels well made very similar to the original one. The replacement filters seem just fine, similar to other aftermarket ones I've used in the past. I charged it overnight and used it until the battery was exhausted. It ran a very long time I didn't time it but it was almost twice as long if I had to guess. Normally I can do the steps and the upstairs and a little bit of the downstairs before the battery ran down, when it was new. With this replacement I did that but also the basement, basement stairs the whole downstairs and it was still going. I did all the corners and went over a few places because I wanted to run it all the way down before recharging. TLDNR? Easy to install, quality made and lasts a very long time, worth the price. update: 1/1/26 I've been using the new battery for a little while now. It's still working well and lasts a long time. The battery lasts pretty long. I tend to run out of steam before the battery does. I use to do most of the house on regular power and a few high traffic area spots on max. Now I can do the whole house then switch to MAX and do most of the house again. More often than not I finish before the battery is exhausted.

This battery was a great replacement for my Dyson V8. Installing it was easy and it fits perfectly with the original setup. I like that it works with the original Dyson charger, so there’s no need to buy a new adaptor. The 9000mAh capacity is the largest I could find on the market, and the run time has been really good so far. The battery indicator light is different from the original but it works just fine and does not affect performance. Suction is strong, and the extra filters are a nice bonus. Overall, it’s a solid upgrade and a great way to keep an older Dyson working like new.

I purchased this V8 replacement battery after having mixed experiences with a cheaper one before. The battery works great and was easy to install. If you are needing the hepa filter too, be careful, the included one didn't fit my V7.
