Fun to Use!
I have always wanted to make or buy a sheperds sling but never got around to it. I ordered this Parallel Halo Old-Fashioned Shepherd Handmade Paracord Leather Throwing Sling when I saw it on Amazon. I felt this was a decent price since it is handmade. The pouch is made of leather and has grommets to help with its durability. It is about the right size for a small to medium rock but I would have like to see a little more width in the pouch. I watched some videos on how to use it and I have decided, after trying it out, that I need to watch more and practice more. I'm not ready to take on Goliath at this point! Easy to use as a whole and it fits in your pocket. It need be, the paracord is replaceable. I could see using it to throw tennis balls for your dog. I like it!

Learning curve on how to use but a lot of fun in the end.
This was my first time using one of these and learning how to use it took a while and by no means am I an expert on how to properly aim it or use it. However it has endured my fumbling, placing random items that fit in it as ammo and thus far I am happy with its quality. This is a good fun alternative to slingshots with a lot more skill applied. The only danger there is here is improper use just like any other projectile throwing item so I'd suggest practicing with something like a wiffle ball as even a tennis ball can not only hurt someone but break glass nearby in a yard. All in all this thing is super fun to use and learn.

Works as expected, and it's fun to try something I've never done before.
I've never owned or even used a real sling before. This Parallel Halo handmade shepherd sling was pretty challenging to use at first, but I improved with each throw. Before even trying, I watched a couple of videos that were really helpful. The paracord "handles?" are over 3' long. The pocket can hold a tennis ball or smaller, but I had the tennis ball fall out if I wasn't rotating the pocket fast enough. The whole thing smelled musty or moldy when I pulled it out of the package, so I'm going to lay it in the sun today and see if that smell remains or not. It's a fun thing to get for only $12, and I could see it being a fun, portable way to throw a tennis ball for our dog.

Pretty cool
It is functional for its intended use, but be aware of what you are ordering. This is not a slingshot with the elastic cords that so many are used to. You have to propel this one on your own, which takes some safe practice. It is very durable, and the leather/cord seems of high quality, BUT the one we received was musty and appeared to have mold on the softer side. It looks neat and is a decent value for the money. It would make a great stocking stuffer for an active teen.

Actually works well, really fun and light weight, takes up no room.
My son loves his new "David sling." It is actually pretty easy to learn how to throw it, and he can already launch a ball pretty strongly. This is and is not a toy! My son's first instinct was to pick up a rock like David did, but thrown right, a rock would be able to do some serious damage out of this thing. So make sure your kids stick to soft balls or tennis balls until they learn some aim. But very cool toy/tool. It weighs almost nothing and is super affordable. You can make these on your own out of paracord, but the actual cup is a nice improvement over the paracord hammock style holder.

Very nice sling, I love it and so does my dog!
This is a very nice sling. The leather, grommets, and cord are all well put together and sturdy. It is ready to use straight out of the package and has a nice thank you card and info for how to contact the seller if you need to. My corgi is very high energy and loves to fetch multiple tennis balls in a row, and this keeps things interesting. It works just as it should. I need more practice personally, but this is a fun tool to add to the dog supplies and would also make a great gift for the dog lover in your life!

Super fun sling!
This is a fun sling and has me feeling pretty good! As an entry sling it has everything you need! The paracord is sturdy and the leather is something I can keep using whenever I’d like to maybe lengthen it from where I’ve currently set it..

Nice little leather sling
This sling has a nice dark leather pouch with metal grommets and a nylon string. The leather feels sturdy and looks good, but the nylon cord is a bit thin. I’d swap it out for paracord for better durability. Overall it’s a solid piece with room for a quick upgrade.
