My 19yo dog got to the point where she was getting stuck in places around the house while I slept, or would have an accident if I kenneled her overnight. So I started having her sleep in bed with me so I could wake up if she started moving and needed to go outside. She’ll have moments where she’ll wake up suddenly and stretch out really fast, or occasionally I’ll be in too deep of sleep to wake up when she’s moving. So I bought this to help keep her from rolling out of bed in those moments. I LOVE that it folds down, and that I can fold it with one hand while holding her in the other arm. It makes it way easier to put her on her side of the bed while the gate is installed. Instead of having to work around it, or climb in with her in the other side of the bed, I just fold it down, set her in her in bed, and snap it back up! Such a big difference from the ones we had when my siblings and I were little. It works great too, it’s saved her from countless falls. She seems to feel safe in it too — the netting cradles her securely and she relaxes in it instead of struggling to get free until I wake up and can move her. It’s also super easy to set aside and reinstall when changing the sheets. At 20lbs, she’s lightweight enough that I skipped the extra straps for under the mattress, but I can see wanting to use them with an actual child. I got the shorter length, again, because of her small size. I butted it up against the end table so I can still fold it down, and then wedged a pillow in between the end table and the bed to cover that gap. I’d say that’s the only draw back. Ideally it would have a split middle so I could put it all the way to the top of the bed, and still fold down a portion of it to set her on the bed. (But now that I’m thinking of it, I could have also just bought two short ones and achieved the same thing.) All to say, I can’t recommend it enough, and I feel the price was great for the value.

Bought two of these for my young child . Sturdy and great design worked perfect for our needs length was good to provide enough coverage . Easy to assemble and install on bed frame . Great overall value . And simply folds down when not in use

Works as expected. Another safety rail I had, my child was 3 and able to slide in between the bed and the rail. She’s 5 and 40lbs now, and this one doesn’t move. I would recommend.

This homeal works great for my daughter’s bunk beds. Safety is very important to us especially if the beds are too high up. The size fits perfectly for her bed and not hard to assemble.

Bought this since our baby daughter sleeps with us. It took a sec to assemble but it is GREAT. Easy to operate, stays in place, tall enough for my thick mattress, sturdy enough that she couldn’t move it even rolling against it. The pouch is where I keep my cell phone. I am so pleased with this purchase. It wasn’t expensive and worth every penny for the safety it provides.

I just installed 2 of these last night. Only takes about 4 minutes to assemble. My little girl kept falling off the bed and getting hurt and stuck. But is totally safe now. What an improvement and incredible product. I can now sleep well knowing my little girl is safe with Homeal.

Have not even had this a year and it snapped. First it came broken they sent a new one and it just broke so I would give it a 5 out of 10
