Great kidde replacement
We bought these to replace our old kidde detectors that were 10 years old. Easy to install and fit in the same holder as the previous ones. We did buy the adapter as well to avoid messing with the wires.

Smore/CM detector, works.
Easy to install (wiring is not compatible with older models, but easy to swap), work in network. The only problem is lack of voice announcement for different threat types.

replace every 10 years
good combo CO & smoke detectors. I replaced all 12 in my house as you are meant to every 10 years. good quality and complete wiring harness and very easy to replace. functions well,

Installed fine, hope I don’t have to climb the ladder too often!
Early yet, but installed easily enough. For anyone curious; I replaced model P12040 smoke with this combo unit. Decided to go with AA battery backup after reading various issues with 10 yr lithium battery longevity. Changed baseplate out and screw hole ‘pitch’ matched, so that was good. Because they have changed the orientation of the plug in quick change, I had to wire in the new quick change which comes with the unit. No big deal, biggest issue was finding the breaker that switches off 120v power to the detectors…. And climbing the dang ladder!

FREQUENT false alarms- If you value sleep, don’t buy these.
Out of the box, these seem great. Easy to install, tests work. Every few months since we have installed them, there is a false alarm getting us out of bed, sometimes a few times in a night. We have had to uninstall one of them, and another has needed the batteries replaced more than twice in a year (other exactly same devices using the batteries from the same package are fine). I do not think these are reliable devices and if you value sleep, would absolutely not recommend at all.

Excellent Smoke / Carbon Detector
Easy to replace the older ones that had expired. The originals were 10 years old so I did have to replace the mounting bracket and wiring harness which was easy to do. I recommend keeping the plastic covers when you perform tests as they are loud alarms as you would expect. Will buy again when these need to be replaced.
