I've had a mild tear of my left calf, and been trying various supports/braces to see which works best for me during recovery.The others I have tried are a "sleeve" design (non adjustable), which work well - but can't be worn for too long without experiencing discomfort. This design - with three adjustable Velcro straps - allows you to vary the level of support and compression, meaning you can wear it for longer.The Velcro straps fix very securely, an allow you too position and tighten the brace to suit your needs. Reducing the compression is easy - if you want to after a period of wear - you just let the three straps out a little.The disadvantage of this design (compared to a neoprene sleeve), is that it is not quite as secure for exercise. I have found that it is prone to occasional slipping during long walks. The counter to that is that is the ability to adjust (typically to reduce) support and compression, allowing it to be worn for much longer.This is a useful support to have - probably to use alongside others - and is good value.

This calf support brace is great for various sports activities and in my case, I use it for badminton and cycling.The x3 adjustable straps allow the desired level of compression to be achieved and I find the thick and soft breathable fabric is great for protecting my calf against thorny bushes while cycling.It would have been great if this were available as a pair with choices of various colours.
