Really solid build. Love how simple this is. It is far better than any DE razor. The pivoting head keeps the blade on your skin and works perfectly. Uses standard blades. Just break them in half to make two blades. Super high quality. Really great shave too. Try this if you want a hot lather. Use a metal lather cup and a coffee cup heater. In 2-3 minutes you get the warmest lather. It’s heavenly for shaving. I’ve been shaving almost every day for a month with this and it’s still the most comfortable shave ever. I shave my 2 friends and my face. No burn and I don’t get itchy after a day or two. The clean cutting blade beats the 3 and 5 blade Gillette for comfort. I went back to cartridge for one day and got the burn and the day 2 itch. I want to try the Subie razor but it’s sold out right now. It’s supposed to be more aggressive. These guys make the best razor. You can stack 2 blades for a bit more bite when using. You can hardly tell you’re shaving unless you press down a little. Love it.

This thing is gorgeous. A true work of art. It functions perfectly. I get an excellent shave every time. Yeah it's expensive up front, but blades are cheap, even the american ones, at $20 for 100 blades, which is 200 for this bruise you break them in half. I am shave at least twice on one blade. Compare that to the cost of woke Gillette replacement heads. By the second year you are saving yourself money every time you shave... while using a hand made, AMERICAN MADE razor that could truly be a generational item. I know i will be giving my sons one when it is time for them to shave.

I use this razor to shave my head and it does an amazing job! I have tight coils / curly hair and I get no irritation or in-grown hairs using the Proof razor. The head of this razor pivots so it’s super safe and easy to use. You can tell that it’s a high quality, well-built product. You can also use standard razor blades and snap them in half. I use Astra Platinum blades, but these came with Personna Blue blades as a bonus.

This is an excellent, well-designed razor that is a pleasure to own and use. It is easy to load, and the pivoting head does a great job to keep it on my face. The leather carry pouch is a nice touch and the fact that it is produced in America is definitely a plus. When I am shaving every day or every other day, this is the best razor that I have used - it far out performs the Oneblade and other single-blade razors that I own. I gave this 4 stars for one reason that people should consider. If your typical time between shaves exceeds 3 to 4 or more days, this may not be the right razor for you. I have found that it is very susceptible to clogging and decreased performance when I have a longer growth of stubble. It will still do the trick, but it may take a follow up lather and shave to get the job done. Overall, it's a fantastic product that I love using.

Finally, a razor that I can use that does not rip my face off. Your mileage may vary. Quality blades are a must, of course. No plastic disposable waste producing junk here. I tried many varieties of DE Safety razors most were face ripping instruments of torture. The design of this mimics modern flex head razor, with the economical & evironmental sensibilities of a DE Saftey razor. Very good quality to boot.

Great razor that is really mild. It showed up today so I've only got one shave in today but it was great with no nicks or cuts. This is the razor I plan on giving my partner since she's used to cartridges and might be intimidated by a double edged razor. Probably best to use this razor with no more than four days between shaves or you are going to clog this thing because 1/3rd of the gap doesn't pass through due to the hinge blocking it in the middle. It has me wondering how this could be designed better. Overall love it and took a star off for it not being vegan friendly and another for it clogging in the middle.

This is a very good razor and good to great value for the money. This Proof razor is my favorite. I like it more so than the following; Merkur (FUTUR & Vision), Parker, Henson, Gillette, and Mach 3 & 5. I have tested all these razors with the DE Feather blade. The Proof comes with blades, but I am most comfortable with the Feather blade. The handle is easy to hold and maintain. The flexible head moves up and down which makes for great control around the curves of my chin and jaw bone. I like this razor and it is a daily use razor, easy to use and care for. I have recommend this razor and believe it to be a good value for the money.
