Has anyone compared this to Wahl or Andis?

Gamma+ has 120 minutes of cordless run time, Andis has 90 minutes, and Wahl has 60 minutes. Gamma+ is the only one with a universal mini USB charger and the only one with a trimmer. Gamma+ is lighter weight, more compact, gets a closer shave, and is much gentler, with less irritation of the skin.

The Gamma+ Shaver has a Universal Micro-USB charger  (the same one that comes with many electronics and cell phones).  It is a universal voltage and can be used seamlessly anywhere in the world.

The shaver itself uses a micro-usb 5V source to charge. This is common with many phone chargers, and can be powered from a computer USB port or a USB Power Adapter (shown in the product images).
Note, however, the power adapter shown in the images is a 110V adapter. It is NOT a universal adapter.
So, if you want to travel to Europe, for example, you'll need to buy a 220V USB adapter that you can plug the USB cable into. They cost $10.) With that, you'll be able to charge the shaver where you travel.

tldr: The shaver uses a charge source that is universal (used for phones and many other devices) and easily available in other countries, but you'll need to buy a generic adapter for about $10 to charge it outside North America. It's probably the best type of charging solution for frequent travellers.
