If your dishwasher is touted as one of the top models it will not perform any better than the detergent used. Consumer Reports has in the past stated that the best is Cascade Platinum Plus. Then with the pandemic came some unavoidable delays and was unable to get CPP. In the interim, I tried three different products: two were Cascade and the other a generic Amazon brand. Being on a fixed income, I take a very close look at costs: $17+ for a similar Cascade product v. $48+ for a top-of-the-line plus pod. The long and short of it is: you get what you pay for. Nothing else performs like Cascade Platinum Plus. I have put gooey pots with burned on material to the test. and the only one that really allowed my JennAir dishwasher to shine was the Plus. Anything less and I was Scrub Daddy-ing burned on material. If you expect optimum performance, CCP delivers the goods.ADDENDUM 9-22-2022-I have just spent 3-1/2 hours researching why I should pay the most current $56+ price tag for 70 pods, up from $48 since my last delivery end of August 2022. According to PRUDENT REVIEWS and BOB VILA, PLATINUM PLUS has an additional pre-soak booster. The other factor determining performance is the amount of each ingredient. From the website Prudent Reviews: "On the product labels, ingredients are listed in descending order based on the quantity found in the detergent." Labels can post identical elements but the universal "truth in labeling" law does not require disclosure of actual formulations. At this point you have to rely on your own evaluation. I am going to revisit using two different pods based upon the level of scrubbing needed. If there's anything worth sharing, I'll make an addendum to the addendum.

I've tried so many different dishwasher detergents. This is by far the best. It cleans stuff other detergents leave behind, and no orewash is necessary. I just rinse off the dishes, and Cascade does the rest.

we run our dishwasher several times a week. don't like dirty dishes sitting around in the thing so sometimes we even run it when it's not completely full. i've had a dishwasher going back to childhood, so i'm more than a little familiar with what to expect from the machine and from the detergent. for the most part, i've used whatever was the best buy, so i've used every liquid and tab detergent that's been on the market for the last 30 years or so, including sams brand. some have been better than others, but once i started using this one, the difference was evident.the glasses are the first thing you notice as they are completely clear with no hint of cloudiness or streaks. the silverware (regular 18/10 stainless) comes out shiny as if polished. unlike others who have complained about an overpowering scent or taste, i've never experienced any of that, and we use our glasses to drink water more than anything, so it would be easily noticed. i should note that i still use finish jet dry enhancer, though i plan to try out the similar cascade product in the near future.finally, i shopped around for a while once i settled on the fact that this was the product i intended to use going forward and this is the best deal out there. not by much, but with free shipping and subscription, it's enough of a better deal to buy here.

These things are awesome. I tried a few different ones before settling on these. Takes care of most foodstuff without prewashing/rinsing. Dishes are clean and dont have water stains when I'm taking them out of the dishwasher

These work great for me. I've used them for many years in two different dishwashers in my house and former apartment, and will stick with them. They get tough grime and grease off of my plates and utensils, without leaving residue. They even do a great job of cleaning baby bottle parts and those silicone toddler training straw cups, which have the most annoying habit of getting milk stuck in the straw tube. These dishwasher tablets even get THAT out. Impressive.A lot of reviews mention these are strongly scented. I've noticed a rather strong citrusy scent when I open the container, but I've never had any problems with the scent lingering on dishes post-wash. Most important for me, they don't leave any residue. I've tried other brands and more eco-friendly options, such as Seventh Generation, and those leave a white film around my glasses every single time. I've never had a problem with residue using these tablets, regardless of the dishwasher setting.I lopped off one star because the tablets do stick together very easily. Avoid handling these with wet hands, because the detergent will start to leak out of the very thin coating and get all over your hands. As long as your hands are dry, you shouldn't have a problem.

Having tried other detergents from Cascade and other manufacturers, this is the best out of all of them. We recently had to buy the “8x” version of the Cascade pods (this one is “16x”) and they were not as good. These leave the dishes feeling clean, the other versions seem to leave a fine grit on glassware. I have also found the other versions to not dissolve completely and clog up the drain filter with non-dissolved powder. I have never had an issue with the pod itself not dissolving. You really have to be careful not to get these wet. If your dispenser basket is wet, dry it before putting the pod in. Only handle to pod with dry hands. For overall ease of use and functionality, these are the best.Some complain about the “fragrance” of these...I guess it is a little strong. You should know that this stuff is concentrated so that’s probably the reason for a strong scent. I don’t find it offensive or disgusting but I am not huffing the stuff like some reviewers appear to be doing. Also, even though it is not relevant to the product, I have never had an issue with these being damaged during shipping. I have also never had them sticking together in the package.
