Easy to use...light weight...just want I needed

I have tried at least 5 irons over the last few months and they either leaked, didn't give enough steam, didn't glide, or the cord was to short. I wanted the perfect iron and this one is 99% perfect . The cord length is a dream, glides effortlessly over clothes, heats up in seconds, is sturdy when sitting on the board and is very comfortable to hold. The tiny thing that could be improved is the release button to fill the water tank. It's a little odd to push and I have to push several times to get it to open. But for such a minor thing I am not taking any stars off because everything else is so great. I have tried very expensive irons and this one is far superior. Highly recommend.

I generally hate irons. I've had lots of them. Cordless and corded, expensive and cheap. Teflon, ceramic, and stainless steel soleplates. Digital/electronic and old-style wheel heat settings. Each one taught me something. Cordless irons are inconvenient, non-stick coatings scratch and wear away, and I don't care how the heat gets set, as long as the iron heats up and stays hot. The last iron I had was a Maytag. It met all of my hard-learned requirements and was better than most I've had. It didn't sputter or leak brown gunk, either! But one sad day it died. Of course, that model is no longer made, so I had to search for literally hours to find a replacement. Well, this was it. How do I like it? So far, so good. It's a bit heavy but I'll get used to that. So far it hasn't spit at me or vomited brown gunk, and it heats up just fine. The water reservoir holds more than most others I've had. so this is a definite plus. All it all, it's a decent iron. Now, if it lasts more than the five years I got out of the Maytag, I'll be happy. Or at least as happy as I can ever be with an iron.

Update January 2026 After using it for several months I have to say that it has two cons. One of them is that the water evaporates too quickly and the second that the button to grade the water is under the handle. One tends to lower the density of the water volume inconsistently. The rest is good Although the iron is a bit heavy, it works very well. For me, having arthritis, it’s a bit uncomfortable because of the weight, but that same weight makes it very effective for achieving excellent results. It has nothing to envy from more expensive irons.

Too bad there's not a star for ZERO!! I ordered this iron on November 21, 2024 and received it on November 22. I needed a replacement iron and thought Hamilton Beach, being a name brand and having good reviews, would be a good selection. Wrong!! This iron just ruined a quilt I've been working on because it spewed brown stuff all over the white background of the quilt and the stains won't come out. I've not used this iron very much since I received it because of all the holidays, plus we were on vacation for part of January, so it's basically brand new. We have a water refiner in our home so our water is not full of minerals that could damage an iron and this is the water I've used in the iron. It looks like I'll be completely remaking a quilt, which I'm really dismayed about!! Quilt fabric is expensive enough without having to buy the some stuff a second time!!

Great iron. Heats up quickly, and the digital readout tells you which fabric and the setting. Moderate weight weight so ironing isn't tiring. It does go through water quickly so it steams well.

I have been using this iron for approximately six months and have been happy with it so far. It has a good weight without being too heavy, which I like. It uses regular tap water and the reservoir holds enough water to last through a fair amount of ironing. It does a good job removing wrinkles and the steam feature works well. I use my iron every week or two.

This iron is big, bulky and heavy but the most annoying thing about it is you have to unplug it to turn it off. The power button does not shut it off completely and if you forget to unplug it, it stays hot. Pretty dangerous if you ask me

Excelente producto, llegó en tiempo y forma. Cumple completamente con todas las especificaciones indicadas. No tengo ninguna otra observación; ya llevo varias semanas con el producto y funciona tal cual se describe. Sin duda una excelente compra.

Ga funcionado muy bien, la plancha es pesada, a mi me gusta. La cantidad de vapor es buena y el cable de energía es largo. Lo único que no me gustó es que para cargar agua la plancha debe estar en posición horizontal, si ya tienes un rato planchando la plancha está caliente, por lo que no la puedes apoyar en cualquier superficie, haciendo el proceso incómodo.
