Needs serious tuning - Cheap crap
The sound hurts my brain. Way too much bass and the sound from satellite speakers are barely audible. I now need a software equalizer (like easyeffects or pulseeffects or audacious music player) to listen to music. It's also not recommended for watching youtube videos or playing games. For small home parties, this is a good choice though. It can shake the walls. But nobody buys sound system to shake walls instead people want a good quality sound system with balanced good quality sound, not just a tremendous bass boost. The worst thing is that there's no way to control the bass :( I need to stick with this awful sound system for years, can't even imagine. Sound system's built quality is good, but overall not satisfied with the awful sound quality. EDIT after 2 days of continuous use with my PC 3 stars to 1 star. The reason is too much bass. I have no idea why Sony doesn't put a bass control on a system with such a big woofer. Even most modern systems with small woofers have a bass control. When you turn the speaker switch on, you need to turn it on from the remote / the power button of the woofer. It doesn't remember any settings. The default sound is too low, every time after you turn it on, you need to increase the sound to make it audible. If anyone wants to buy a very high bass wall shaking woofer, go for it. It doesn't have any sound quality, sounds absolutely horrible. So people looking for a good quality home theater, it's a shame that sony can't even beat my old F&D. It's simply bad. Whenever I go playing a song or listen to youtube videos, I need separate equalizer profiles for them! The sound quality is absolutely terrible. Gives me a temporary headache that lasts for hours. I don't know why they are charging so much for a cheap crap of delicate wood with a bad quality chip and speakers like this. I can't just bear with it. I feel very sorry, but I need to return it :(
