Our electrician recommended this generator brand and he installed indoor/outdoor connections for it. We've been extremely happy with how it operates. We purchased a trickle charger for it and a protective cover. Have only needed to use it a couple times and it powered all the essential things in our household with no problem at all -- well pump, boiler, 2 refrigerators, freezer, lights and internet, plus can handle even more. We have to be at home to move it outside to start it, but for us, it was a good investment and we can take it with us if we ever decide to move. Solid, well made, easy push button self-starting. Couldn't be happier.

This is a great generator. Well worth the price for duel fuel. Easy to start and with propane usage it illuminates alot of unnecessary maintenance

Assembly instructions with tools and wire plugs for making your own power cables are a really nice addition. It may be some time before I have to use the generator, so I can't attest to performance. There are two metal shipping braces used to protect the engine motor mounts. One of them had lost it's bolt and was in the bottom of the box with accompanying nut. Hopefully this won't cause issues down the road. No noted damage though.

DuroMax stands above all others in my opinion as one who has purchased and used multiple generators for many years. it is superior in terms of design, power, durability, and performance. It starts without effort, runs more quietly and reliably, and delivers premium power. The owners manual was easy to read, complete in every way, beautifully produced and will be a usage guide I will keep for years to come. I am using this with a Generac transfer switch to power my entire home. What a comfort to know I'll always have backup power when I need it for a fraction of the cost of other standby generators.

We purchased this item on Black Friday when it was half price. It was recommended by a prepper that we watch on YouTube and in case the power goes out we will be totally prepared to run everything we need. I selected this one because it can be run EITHER on gasoline OR propane.

I purchased this item last week. It was delivered on 2/13/23. I immediately assembled the item in accordance with the User Manual. I attempted to use the Propane source. After MANY attempts, the generator WILL NOT START. I tried contacting Duramax directly via phone, voicemail and email and have yet to hear back, I then contacted Amazon who has done nothing but send me around in circles and refusing to help resolve the issue. I do understand that the item CANNOT BE RETURNED but according to the item description, it is ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND OR REPLACEMENT and AMAZON PRODUCT SUPPORT. Amazon has refused to initiate a REFUND or REPLACEMENT and has continued to direct me to the Manufacturer for Product Support. How is that AMAZON PRODUCT SUPPORT???? I did purchase the Asurian Insurance coverage with the product and Amazon has told me to file a claim...once again avoiding any involvement in resolution. I purchased the coverage (3 years) in case I encountered issues down the road and not to use on a brand new defective item! I am willing to work with Manufacturer and Amazon but I am not getting the support from Amazon. My next step is contact Amex and get them involved......stay tunedUpdate....after receiving no help from Amazon, I was able to get in touch with Duromax and they were unbelievably helpful. After walking me through several unsuccessful troubleshooting solutions, it was determined that I had received defective unit. Without hesitation, they offered to send me a new unit directly from them at no cost (since I was still within the 30 day window for returns). If you are considering purchasing this item, I strongly suggest that you skip the "middleman" and purchase directly from Duromax. If not for them standing behind their product I would be stuck with a BRAND NEW worthless pile of scrap metal. Thank you Duromax for picking up the ball that was dropped and kicked by Amazon!!!

This is the only generator you will ever need..power went out on Wednesday just as the Hurricane started..And stayed out for 6 days..i used mostly gas because it lasted much longer then the propane I used..It ran my whole house including my central air conditioner...But I am going to install a easy -start on the ac unit,To make sure I don't have to have all the ceiling fans off so it doesn't blow the 50 amp breaker..But it ran flawlessly for the whole time I used it..Going to change the oil and put a new spark plug in it..To get ready for the next storm..Thank you .Dura-Max..for making a great product..
