Simple to use karaoke machine with big sound!
About this gift as a birthday present for my mother-in-law. I had three requirements for this device. First, it had to be simple to use. Second it work well and sound good. Last thing was it had to be compact because they don’t have a lot of space to store things. Giving this five stars because it exceeded every single one of my requirements.First, it was very easy to use. I did not want to be tech-support for this gift. And I did not want to receive a call every time they wanted to use it. Fortunately, the product has everything integrated into it. It has an integrated tablet, integrated speakers. The wireless and charging system is super easy to use integrated as well. I performed the set up for them which basically consisted of connecting it to the Wi-Fi and setting up the karaoke app karafun. I created an account for them and it comes with a free six month subscription. After that, the only optional connection you need to make would be to connect the device to a big screen TV. This is done by simply connecting an HDMI cable from karaoke machine to the TV. The karaoke machine does not come with an HDMI cable so I would suggest making sure that you purchase a long HDMI cable. I recommend a 12 to 15 foot cable. The karafun app is very easy to use. you simply search for a song and then either hit play now or add it to the queue and it will play as soon as the previous song is done. The app has a huge list of songs. We were surprised that even some obscure songs were listed. The android tablet that’s built-in is very easy to use and is a touchscreen. The only criticism I would have is that it is a little unresponsive at times. A touchscreen interface has a performance that would be on par with a very cheap android tablet. However, it is very usable and did not take away from the experience of using the karaoke machine.Second, and most surprisingly was how good the sound out of this machine was. They have a large living room and they do a lot of entertaining, and it can get very boisterous with lots of people having side conversations. However, the volume and the quality of the sound of the mic and the speakers was able to fill the room. The only time I got any feedback from the Mike was when I accidentally set it down right next to the speaker. Otherwise we got a clear consistent sound, and you’re able to adjust the volume on the mic itself. My father-in-law was a musician also commented on how good the mic and the speakers sounded.Lastly, everything can be stored inside the machine, and it is very compact and easy for them to put away. They do not have to haul around a big speaker system. They can even take it with them when they go camping. All in all, it was a huge hit for her birthday and I am very happy with the purchase.

Wow! A must buy
This is SUCH a fantastic karaoke machine - especially for someone who does it casually or wants to do karaoke party with friends. The microphones are awesome, the actual machine is super sleek and easy to use and it’s everything you need in one product. I really recommend it

A must have.
The family loves this. It’s small enough to carry around to friends and families homes and the speakers sound amazing. You can also link it up to your phone or TV for family fun.

Lots of great features and an excellent portable machine, but not a good addition to existing setups
I like to host karaoke nights with my friends at my house and run it through YouTube using a PC hooked to a receiver hooked to the living room television. Traditionally we'd just use a mic hooked directly to the PC; however, we struggled with a distracting audio delay. I went searching for better solutions and bought this Ikarao. Overall, I really wanted to like this. It's well built. The built-in app is pretty good and intuitive to use. I love that it can run on battery and is portable. The top features for me were the rechargeable microphones with volume controls on the mic itself and having a built-in storage solution for them.Unfortunately, this just wouldn't play nice with my existing setup. Getting the screen up on my TV was simple enough as it has an HDMI out, and it has a USB input that worked great for attaching a wireless keyboard and mouse. But, I couldn't get audio to come through the HDMI, and the built-in speaker was just too many steps down in audio quality from my home theater system. I ended up solving the audio by running it separately to my receiver using aux cables (I have a Denon AVR that has separate Audio In options for each of the inputs; if you want to try this, you have to go into the AVR's settings to turn on these inputs), but I experienced some delay. The delay wasn't as bad as using the PC, but I was comparing this against a significantly cheaper option, a Rybozen Mixer System, that's really just a plug-and-play wireless mic system without its own speaker. In recording myself tapping on the microphones of each system, this Ikarao had the bigger delay (not by much, though). Also worth noting (as many reviews have stated) that there's a huge con in that the Ikarao doesn't come with a plug for the charger, and it's not even a USB-C to USB. You're going to actually need your own USB-C plug just to get power to this thing. This alone is worth losing a star rating over even if this fit perfectly into my existing setup. It blows my mind that with the rest of the attention to quality and detail that this product has, it doesn't come with a way to plug it in. And that all became a chore, too... I'm pretty sure it didn't like the original plug I used because it wouldn't turn on even after a period of charging, and eventually when it did turn on, it would ding at me and run slow. So I ended up plugging it into my cell phone rapid charger. Even then, it requires a pretty significant charge before it'll turn on. Also, support documentation is pretty lacking. There's a Quick Start guide that doesn't really cover any troubleshooting or using the inputs and outputs. The quick start guide directs you to a manual in the Ikarao menu, but that's just a digital copy of the same quick start guide. There are very little online resources. I tried using Gemini to understand why it wouldn't turn on at first, why it's dinging at me, how do I get the audio to run through HDMI, etc. and most of the answers boiled down to "Check the charging cable" and "reach out to the Ikarao support team".What I also didn't like is that most of the settings are buried in menus. You can control the mic volume on the microphones themselves (which is a HUGE plus), but there's no easy on-the-fly way to make other adjustments while people are singing.Despite all of that, if I didn't have an existing AV setup and/or I wanted a portable karaoke system, this would be my choice. In addition to the Rybozen, I compared this against one of those big, floor standing, all-in-one karaoke systems, and this definitely blew that away. But given that I want to use my own AV set-up (so basically just using the Ikarao for its interface and wireless mics), there are cheaper options out there that are much simpler with on-the-fly controls, less audio delay, and included power plugs.
