I have had two other ice makers from amazon and both returned because they stopped working, decided to spend a bit more this time and do a bit of research looking at tank size and wattage, from the start this one showed its class fast production and ice holder seems to be well insulated so ice did not melt quickly, I would recommend this to anyone considering a home ice maker it also has a two year guarantee which is a bonus.

Easy installation, fast ice delivery

I know its alot of money but its well made, super stylish, works very well. Takes 6 minutes to make ice first time. Use chilled water though from fridge otherwise they can be smaller size. What i do is dump the first few batches back into the water, or dump some ice from a tray in there. Then off you go. It can max the basket out in a hour, great for home made slushies. Get ice, chuck in blender, add syrup, off - kids happy. Use filtered water - dont use tap. Portable too so can have running in garden when sun comes out for ice for drinks by swimming pool. Amazing machine - built to last.

It was switched off when I went on holiday. Never worked again. Can’t return it because I’m outside the return window.

If you plug this in the moment you get in with friends you will have ice for the drinks once all the prelim chat is over. And of course it goes on producing ice until it runs out of water or is full of ice. I would strongly recommend one uses filtered, cold water. No problems at all but I do not understand why anyone would use the 'small' setting for ice size: the 'large' is just about acceptable for a G+T.

Bought this a present about 6 months ago. Was slightly concerned it would go the way of the bread maker and be a novelty for a few goes. But nope, this has been used almost every day since. The first "cubes" (actually bullets) are produced in about 10 minutes. The size can be controlled, but also depends on the temperature of the water. Generally we throw the first batch back in again to cool the water a bit which makes the subsequent ones a lot bigger.It isn't terribly noisy. We have a combined kitchen living area and don't notice any undue noise from it while watching TV. The ice dropping does make a noise but that's handy so you know that it has something for you. The full sensor hasn't given any problems and no leaks either.The colour is good and it it looks well on the kitchen countertop. It is a tad bigger than I expected, but I don't have anything really to compare it too. All in all, very happy with the purchase.
