The good: mirror does what mirrors do. My wife is happy with it.The mediocre: the light is pretty dim. I think the pictures on here are a little misleading.The ugly: I have quite a bit of experience installing electrical appliances and renovating houses. When installing, this should be installed into a function box due to making a connection to 125V wire. The back plate this installs with is very finicky if you want the light to be straight. If you install in a junction box, you’ll need to buy some machine screws. The kit only comes with 4 course thread screws and anchors. Finally, the wiring is a red, blue, and green, which is a first for me. It worked when I wired red-black, blue-white, ground-green.

The light is very cheaply made and the wiring fell apart while I was mounting it. It doesn't have standard mounting that you would use on an electrical outlet as you would expect. The way it is wired, I am not sure it is up to code in the USA. It is probably ok in Europe where wires are just run through a hole in the wall. I rewired it and made it work, but it was a hassle.

As previously stated, this product is a massive headache to install. If you are installing this on a standard size rectangular electrical box, the wall base plate will not completely cover the corners of the box. We went with a circular old wall electrical box and after replacing drywall (round object into a rectangle hole), mudding, and painting we were able to start the installation. I consider myself very handy and have installed and moved many electrical items and do know my limits. I have never in my life (in my silver years) seen an item this difficult to install. You must insert each wire into the connect cluster, push the wires into the electrical box, screw on the back plate, and finally attach the mirror to the back plate. Definitely not a one person job. While pushing the wires into the electrical box, the hot wire (inside the base plate) to the on / off switch came loose and caused an electrical shock. Yea I know, should've turned off the power, but this wire should not have came loose to begin with. If I would've had the power off, there would've been the chance of my wife getting a jolt while using this mirror instead of me.

I had it professionally installed and my contractor said it was simple. It's a little too sturdy and is difficult to move....definitely a 2 handed requirement. It would be better if it were able to be adjusted with just one hand. The light is great, so bright but not blinding, love the magnification, all of my friends want to check it out every time they're at my home. The best bathroom splurge ever.

Loved it until it broke. Used from mid January to mid June. A weld broke. No children involved! Only used easily by me (64) and I only wear makeup once or twice a week.

Thank God my husband is a handy guy! He hardwired this mirror into the wall. Anyone else might have a challenge.Also, the magnification is pretty strong. You have to get very close to it, in order to see clearly, but other than that, it's a great mirror and we like it.

This mirror is fantastic, it’s really nice to be able to take care of skin issues with the magnification before they actually become issues. Light is great I just wish it was a little brighter. But that will always be the case
