When you lose a charging cord - which is WAY too common when you have teenagers - you need to be able to fix the problem fast and I’m a cost effective way. This cord did both things. I worried that the cord would not work as well as the one that came with my laptop, or that there would be something wrong with it - not buying directly from Apple. No issues what so ever! Order away, and get your tech charged up again!

I bought the Mac Book Air Charger Replacement twice. The first charger I bought worked well for a few months, but I always kept it plugged into the outlet and it used to get hot but I did think nothing of it until one day while I was charging the laptop, I noticed a smell and I checked the charger, and it was burned where it come apart from itself. I don't know whether it was my fault for keeping it plugged in all the time or if it was a defective charger. But anyways I did buy another one but this time I make sure to unplug it when I'm not charging the laptop. And it still works great I think this is a decent charger, but you have to be careful with it. Don't let your laptop charge for too long or it might damage the charger.

Although I'm careful with it and it sits on a table most of the time, the power cord that came with my Mac Air is getting a crimp so I know it's only a matter of time until it has major problems. I've had to fiddle with it a time or two to get it to work. My laptop is a few years old so I wanted to buy another power cord while I could find one. I've only tried this one out a couple of times but it worked fine so I have no complaints so far. I'll use the original until it dies. I have no idea how durable this one will be, but it seems to work well when new. This one is not exactly like the original but the magnetic connector is the same.

Caught fire on the cord after a month, it’s a good thing I was near my computer.

I got this for my old MacBook Air. It’s a 2013 and I use it for very light work. I also don’t ever move it as I mainly use my new MacBook Pro. So far the charger is working perfectly. I can’t say it will be the same if it was moved around every day as the cable seems to be much stiffer than the OEM so might have issues from repeated folding etc.
