Some assembly and crafting will be required to make this work properly. But for $16, I’m still happy with it. After seeing that it didn’t come put together and reading reviews I think I’ll sand it down a little and then cut a small notch so that I can drive a wedge to keep it held, hopefully, permanently. Out of the box it’s razor sharp and the blade has a good thickness to it (.12-ish mm), so it should be able to handle some abuse.

Still need to find the time to heat up the metal hole for the handle to go into then hammer it ROUND. Then remove the nasty burr so I can pound in the handle all the way past the screw hole which cannot happen until I fo those steps. Should be a great tool After I put in the work. The material & shape of blade is supergood but blade is blunt.Struggled to cut off branches 1-2" thick of oaktree . That was the main purpose of the tool.Mechanism of connecting handle , it came off the blade when swinging to cut branches but luckily it flipped downwds away from my foot ! Round polished handle is cute BUT becomes insafe esp if it is drizzling rainy and it slips out easily of the hand.Can only improve bu buying another handle and poking holes into the metal & blade to join them compact not loosely as is.hand!

Sometimes old fashioned methods of doing things can work best.This brush clearing tool was designed long before there were power tools.And it will work as well today as it ever did.It does take some muscle and coordination but once you get the hang of it you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how fast and efficient it is at clearing out even heavy growth .Vines, stalks and roots will all be no match for this sturdy blade.The tool arrives sharp and it’s easy to re-sharpen whenever you need to because it’s made from carbon steel.You’ll attach the hardwood handle to the blade by tapping it’s tapered end into the socket at the end of the blade.Make sure you have a mallet available because you aren’t going to get the handle into the socket without some force.This is a tool that you’ll probably be passing on to your grandkids.It’s not pretty but it sure is sturdy and it does work very well.Good luck !
