Q: What is the difference, if any, between this version of Maggi Wurze sauce, and the other one shipped from Germany and slightly more expensive?

The one with the yellow cap is made in China. The one in the red cap is made in Germany. The sauce in the yellow cap is more runny. Very similar to a soy sauce consistency. The sauce in the red cap is thicker, less runny and darker in color. My wife said didn’t like the smell from the one with the yellow cap. The ingredients are slightly different. The red cap one is more expensive in price.

Q: why do some bottles have the red and blue banner around it and some dont?

That might be because this one is made in Europe, just as you see in the bottom left corner, the globe is blue, and Europe is red and white. The others are from China, France, Germany, or another country. Maggi probably has a different label for each product. Much like we have different labels for products.

Q: nutrition facts does not list sugar. Does it mean it has 0 sugar?

I currently have the Maggi with the yellow cap, but I had a look at the ingredients. Bare in mind that my version is considered the Asian version as it is a product of China, but distributed in the USA by Nestle. They are: water, salt, wheat gluten, and less than 2% of wheat bran, sugar, acetic acid, artificial flavor, disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate, dextrose, caramel color Nutrition label says 1tsp is 10 calories, 400mg sodium, 0 protein, and 0 carbs.

I buy this one from Europe. Other places of production do not produce the quality of this one. The other ones taste watered down.

Fantastic seasoning for soups and sauces.

There is no comparison to this Maggi as opposed to the one with the yellow cap. I will buy no other than the red cap which comes from Europe. The price for this size container is awesome too. I totally recommend this product.
