It Fits
I was pleased with the apparent quality of the parts. Everything fit and works well so far. I will be buying more parts from them. Detroit Axle - made in China ๐ค

Perfect fit and great price and nice quality.
Highly recommended. If redoing the front end, sway bars and such since you have everything apart anyway.

Confusing
All parts fit well and seemed to be of good quality. I was disappointed to find that the passenger upper control arm was not greaseable but the drivers side is? As well as that just not making any sense to have one side greaseable and one side not I was more disappointed to find the ungreaseable part had no grease or other lubricant in the boot which will make it wear even faster yet. Other than that Detroit axle parts will remain my go to company

Great Fit for the 1998 Honda Civic Ex.
Good fitment for the 1998 Honda Civic Ex. A pretty straight forward install. I also replace the CV axles while I was there since they had started to have a rip in the boots on both sides. I used the Detroit CV axle part number 132W_AX_133W_AX. I sprayed all the nuts and bolts with some PB Blaster a couple times during the week before I completed the install on the weekend. I think this gives you a huge advantage especially on an older vehicle like this. The only bolt that gave me a problem was one of the ABS bolts. It snapped. I had to drill it out and find a replacement. Everything else was very straight forward. Also if you don't have the tools you might need like a "pickle fork" or lower ball joint press, I recommend using the tool lend service from the Zone. Its easy and completely free and will save you a lot o headache. After completing the job I took it for an alignment. Car frontend feels really solid. If it lasts as long as the OEM parts that were installed in 1998 I should be good to go.

Very poor quality and incomplete. Not recommended
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone! I bought this item because it claimed to contain all the replacement components for the worn parts on my suspension; It did not and some of the parts were of such poor quality as to be unusable. First, the stabilizers are unusable, if mine were functional , I would have just left them on the SUV. Instead, I had to purchase a new set of stabilizers from Advanced. My stabilizers were both completely shot, both ball joints on each had at least 1/8in of play. However, the new ones weren't a lot better. The grease boots on the new ones in this set wouldn't stay secured on the ball joint body, the upper one slipped off every time the joint flexed. The grease boots didn't have a retaining lip to keep it in place on a groove on the ball joint body. Thus, the ball joints would be exposed to the Texas dust and dirt, and it's doubtful that these joints would last the year. $30 to Advanced. Next, my steering tie rods also had a bunch of play also. I specifically bought this set because it came with tie rod boots to protect the steering from dust and dirt. However, once I replaced the tie rod ends, I noticed the kit didn't have boot fasteners to secure the boot ends to the tie rod or housing. I thought could reuse the retaining clamp on the small end, so of course one broke. So, $7 for CV boot tie straps and another $4 for snap on clamps for the small end. Look, if you are going to sell a comprehensive rebuild kit for suspensions, ensure that it's complete and that the quality of the components is better than what's currently on the vehicle. This kit was more trouble than it was worth. It cost almost $50 in replacement parts. Of course, now I wonder about the quality of all the other components I replaced. Definitely could not recommend! Update: I received a generic communication from Detroit Axle, no solutions and not even a sincere apology for the extract time, work and money they cost me. Below is a portion of my response to Detroit Axle. "Look, let's be realistic, a really sharp mechanic/diy-er might catch such things as missing boot bands and/or poorly designed grease boots on stabilizers upon the initial inspection. I did not! Once you break one ball joint on your vehicle, your committed to completing the job posthaste. You cannot wait for email exchanges and for Detroit Axle to make up their collect minds as to what to do with you. Given the additional fact that the original shipment was late, it's just better to bite the bullet and re-buy the parts from local parts dealers. Your product was in no way the cheapest option, but, supposedly it was the best fit for what I needed. As it turned out, your offering cost me about an additional day to complete work, I had to drive first to Weatherford (30 miles round trip) and then to Ft Worth (another 96 miles round trip), and about $50 additional costs. Detroit Axle is the expert is suspension parts and knows OEM quality and certainly knows exactly what parts are necessary to complete a particular suspension job. This is simple stuff, and Detroit Axle just seems not to take its customers' needs seriously. If my review is taken seriously, Detroit Axle should benefit in the eys of future customers. As an attorney, it always amazes me how defendant corporations use the information in plaintiff's pleading and actions for their own betterment and then feel that part of the defendant's compensation should be used internally by the defendant corporations to remake itself better and ultimately more successful."

Missing parts?
Box arrived tattered and taped. Upon opening the taped box two parts are missing. The parts are made in China. I have had limited success with overseas casting as tensile strength is usually weaker than Mexican or US casts products. May change my rating once I install and test products.
