Is it safe to plug this into a surge protector?

Mine is with no problems. Mine activates sometimes when the TV remote is pushed.

What is the manufacture warranty period? What paper towel does it use?

I’m not certain about the warranty, I have had no issues with it thus far. I use Sam’s Club Members Mark paper towels which are a substantial size roll and they fit just fine. This is my favorite kitchen gadget I’ve ever purchased.

How much noise does it make?

It makes a sound when the paper towel is dispensed but I don’t find it to be loud. It’s a nice machine.
