Let's face it, Barbies are great. But finding budget Barbies for different races is hard. This one passes the Hispanic, mostly light brown skin test. It's important for kids, especially girls, to have dolls who look like them. This one is well priced and little girls (3 - 6 yo) love them.

Okay I only bought doll for outfit and shoes but she's cute but the only negative is the hair is poly and not soft, it's stiff and not quality saran like other barbies have

I bought this doll for my daughter's upcoming Barbie themed birthday. She first caught my eye because she looks a bit like me and even has a curvy body to match, and I just couldn't pass her up for less than $8! I hate to talk about ethnic issues because it's not really an issue (for me and my family at least), but I think it's awesome that more and more dolls are starting to mirror the diverse world we live in. I had but one Barbie growing up that was the only doll that came near to resembling me as a Pacific Islander/Asian person and she was my treasure. Now I buy them every time I get the chance to for my daughter so that her growing collection includes "us". What a wonderful buy!
