I love this trashcan. It’s very well made and the dark brown color matches my cupboards and doesn’t show dirt! The step mechanism operates very well! I’m so pleased with this! The lid closes well too! It’s the perfect size for a large kitchen.

I love the color! Matches my kitchen very well. I have gone through 3 of these, so learn from my lessons. First one: the rod in back that controls the lid speed fell out. Husband turned over and dumped crumbs out, and had not noticed that rod fell. Later he found the rod but didn't know where or what it came from so he tossed it. Soon after I realized the lid wasn't working right. He was like oh that's what it was for but trash was already gone. Number 2: Lasted much longer then the plastic bottom where that rod sits busted out. We tried duck tapping the floor of it back up but even that didn't hold for long. So we dealt with it for a while longer then the foot petal broke. It functions off 2 plastic rods on the bottom, one side broke, so you had to step on the pedal a special way to get it up. Now have number 3. I'm hanging onto that rod in case we need a spare, but I wish they made the foot pedal with metal, it'll break, always step in the middle, never favor a side! This can fits Costco trash bags, they send you a roll of their own cheapies...

Like many people these days, I have chosen to do the two-garbage can thing, one for trash and one for recyclables. I personally make way more recyclables than I do trash, and I was tired of seeing brown paper bags sitting around, plus they filled up too quickly, making my pretty foyer not look so pretty. When I found these I thought they’d make a nice-looking replacement for what I had, mostly because of the color (bronze) and the simpleness of the design. There was an issue with the lid not closing properly on one of the ones I ordered, and Amazon made it right immediately. Thank you Amazon. I was not interested in the automatic touchless variety; it’s just one more thing to break and it makes too many dead batteries for the trash. I wanted a very simple step can, in brown, with soft close, and a streamlined look. This can fit the bill. They fit very neatly into the area I placed them (see pic). Bear in mind that these are replacing, as I said paper bags for the recyclables, and a steel step can that was literally 30 years old and still functioning perfect. But it was time to upgrade, and a more rectangular shape rather than the old round one has turned out to be a good idea, and I wanted to give in to a little bit of vanity this time. The soft close is excellent and a welcome change, as I no longer hear the banging of the lid when I let go of the pedal. 13 gallon tall kitchen bags (I use glad brand) Fit this can perfectly. They are just tight enough over the liner lip that they stay put nicely and you only use about a half an inch over the edge, so that when the lid closes it is completely hidden. The shape and the liner basket were critical. Don’t get one of these types of cans unless it has a removable liner basket! I also purchased those tall lawn and leaf paper bags for the recycling can. They haven’t arrived yet but I asked for careful measurements, and I’m pretty sure that with just a small amount of cutting down on the height, they’re going to fit well, and it’ll be nice to just pull the bag out and throw the whole thing in the recycling bin, bag and all. As I said, I owned the steel round step can for over 30 years with no issues. But now that I have had these rectangular cans for about a week, I can tell you that when I went to take out the first full bag of trash I was able to remove it much easier than I have ever been able to remove it out of the round can. The liner basket is slightly smaller at the bottom than it is at the top, and this is probably why it’s so easy to remove a full bag. Also, the rectangular shape makes it easier to put certain objects in that never fit well in the round. While I wanted something that would look good, functionality always comes first with me, so I couldn’t be happier about that. My only caveat is that the old steel round can was obviously quite durable. The steel used on these new cans is a little thinner, but not by much. And I’ve got no destructive toddlers or teenagers in my house that think nothing of banging or hitting something like this and leaving a dent in it. So all in all they are a bit pricey, but I am extremely pleased with these cans. I also purchased stickers off of Amazon to indicate which one is for recycling and which one is for trash, and I’m such a stickler about color use & subtlety that I had to buy two different sticker sets to get what I wanted. The old steel round step can, still working great, is now going in the basement in the laundry area. Reduce, reuse, recycle, repurpose. Words to live by. If you are looking for a simple step can, that functions very well, and looks nice without all the dead battery waste, then this might be the right one for you too.

Before I purchased this trash can, which I have now owned for about a year, I did quite a bit of research and it seemed to be among the best performers in its price class. I find that to have held true on most fronts. It's certainly an attractive trashcan. I appreciate that the brand label is unimposing and the lid hides the trash bag effectively and (usually) without much extra effort. The inner plastic liner sometimes needs a little jiggle before it'll settle in the proper position so that the lid actually closes. This trash can has survived a somewhat chaotic move with barely any damage - no dents, maybe one tiny scratch in the outer coating. The pedal still works just as well as on day one. My one complaint is that the inner plastic bin absorbs odors like no other plastic trash can I've ever owned. It has barely even gotten in direct contact with trash, no big leaks, maybe a drop here or there. It will literally absorb the smells through a scented trash bag and hold on to them. Just now I removed a pretty smelly bag of trash and the empty can smells as if the trash was still sitting there - granted, it barely smells when the lid is closed. That I do appreciate. Still, depending on the kind of trash I have and how long it sits there, I have to put the can outside to soak in disinfectant and air out every couple of weeks or months. More often than I think I should have to, considering that the bin itself doesn't even touch trash. At the end of the day, I don't regret my purchase. I didn't want to spend more money and I'm overall satisfied with the quality of the item. I'm willing to do a little more maintenance to have a sturdy and aesthetically pleasing trashcan that will last a good long while. Here's to hoping the pedal keeps holding up.

I never thought in my entire life I'd say a trash can was chic, but here we are! As soon as I found a white trash can I knew I had to have it. Its narrow profile fits well in my small laundry room off the kitchen area. It's been very durable and sleek. Compatible with standard size bags and even comes with a starter pack of bags! Excellent value for such a nice looking can. Operates well with a nice pedal design.

This trash can came in a rather large box that protected it so that it did not get damaged during the shipping/delivery process. With no assembly required, and it came with a small bag of trash bags. It is a matte black metal so be warned, if you’re not careful with it you could potentially dent it which you would not have with a plastic trashcan. I do think it was kind of pricey for what you get, but all of the trash cans I looked at were rather pricey. Can’t really attest to the durability since I just got it, but hopefully the mechanism will hold up well and not break like my trash cans in the past have. I think with it being smooth matte black it should be easy to wipe down the outside if it gets dirty. It’s hard to get excited about a trash can in all honesty. Unless of course you spend a lot more money to get all the bells and whistles then it might be exciting. It fits the space perfectly where I kept my previous trashcan and I do like the matte black color. I’m hoping that it holds up well. If it doesn’t I will come back and change or add to my review.

So far, we're loving this stylish little trash can. I say "little" because is has a smaller footprint than our previous battery operated one. It's also a great color for our kitchen. Time will tell whether it holds up, but as it's all mechanical and not reliant on batteries, we're hoping for the best. The lid is soft close, which we like a lot, and the stop to open process seems sturdy enough. Right now, we would definitely recommend it.

Por fin bajó de 6 mil a mil y pico y rápidamente lo compré para completar nuestros botes de separar basura. Está muy bonito, muy práctico al poderse abrir ya sea a mano o con el pedal. Tiene cierre lento, no se azota. Adentro está el bote interior que se saca muy fácilmente para sacar la bolsa llena e instalar la bolsa vacía. Una excelente inversión, durará muchos años.

Just arrived - it looks good and everything but it isn’t matte, which is what we wanted.

This is a nice big garbage can. I love the colour. It’s very functional but it’s also attractive. I’ve had this now for over a year and have absolutely no regrets in buying it. It’s sturdy, the lid opens easily, and a quick wipe removes all fingerprints. I recommend this product.
