Our 12 month old loves his new car seat. We transitioned to this car seat after using the Clek liing infant car seat, which we also really liked. We researched the current options throughly and settled on this one because of crash test performance, the fact that no flame retardants are used, and the slim design. There was no smell to the materials on unboxing and it was very easy to install. The seat fits in our sedan well and our son looks very comfortable when sitting in it. I also like the peace of mind with the anti rebound bar. I am very happy with this purchase and I feel that it is an excellent value considering the quality of the materials and the features of this car seat for the price point. We have not washed the cover yet but the material wipes down easily.

I have been a Britax fan since 2007 when I got my then 1 year old his car seat. Since then, I’ve only had Britax car seats. It continues as we have purchased car seats for our grand daughter. My daughter has two and I have two. One I bought had issues and Britax was x changed it no questions. This Poplar S is perfect for my jeep wrangler. The one for life is great! But it was struggle in my jeep for room. We have put that in my husbands truck and this Poplar S in the jeep. Best car seats, safe and easy to use. Won’t go with another brand. You won’t be disappointed. Fit is easy, install easy, it is a heavier seat, but not too heavy, and for me, if it’s too light, I would question safety…

The slim fit was perfect for adding our one-year-old to the third row of our van where her brother and sister already sit. Granted, the other two children are now in minimal booster seats only, so we didn't have to worry about fitting three full car seats into one row. Still, the bigger kids have enough elbow room on either side of this car seat and haven't complained about feeling cramped at all - they were quite excited for sissy to sit with them!The color is true to the advertised photos, it looks like a light champagne beige. The cushions are extremely cushy, and separate from the frame easy enough to make washing the seat padding less of a hassle compared to other car seats we've owned. The foot bar at the base of the seat for rear-facing installation adds significant stability and isn't difficult to include in the installation process. While we took advantage of a 20% off sale for this seat, we would have still purchased it at full price due to how safe it is for our child and comfortable to boot. It's worth every penny!

I was dead set on purchasing a Nuna Rava, however I was turned off by the nonsensical cup holder placement. This Britax Poplar car seat came up in my final search as a compact seat that was also high quality. Being so determined on the Nuna Rava, I half expected that I might return the Poplar S. However I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and design of the Britax. The fabric is super soft and the seat is extra padded. I was previously using a hand-me-down Safety1st car seat and it’s insane how better the Poplar quality is as compared to a $150 car seat alternative.This seat is compact and fits well in my Subaru Impreza Sport. Install was pretty easy but I will need to put a rolled up towel under the seat to even it out and use the rebound bar.Summary: I’m impressed by this car seat as a competitor to other high-end, pricier alternatives like the Nuna Rava.
