Art of Ian Norbury: Sculptures in Wood

As a woodcarver of 20+ years, I always enjoy seeing the works of master craftsmen and few are as skilled and imaginative as Ian Norbury. The work is stunning, the photography is amazing and the descriptions are enjoyable to read. This has become my favorite book on woodcarving and always find something new everytime I pick it up.

It is amazing what this man can do with a piece of wood. His skills are amazing and his subject matter is wonderful. It is one of those books that you wish would have more pages because it is truly a delight for the eyes.

This book is AMAZING!! Ian Norbury has to be one of the MOST SKILLED wood carvers on the planet, to date!! This book has caused MUCH inspiration for me, already! I'm having a hard time putting it down. Worth the $$, no matter what country you buy it in!!!! Great pictures, as well as written instructions. A++++++++

Beautiful work. Not a how to, more of a coffee table book.

Norbury has a facenating imagination that is not caught on canvas but in three deminsional wood. Even if your not a carver or collector but appreciate art this is a must have book.Dan

It is a clear presentation of the sheer beauty, not just of 'wood' itself, but the creative opportunities that can be brought to life when the right skills are combined with a pure passion to create a object of beauty.If you have an interest in carving wood, then learn from a true master.I now have three of this 'artist's' books on my reference shelf, and there place is very well deserved.
