heavy reading, lots of science and math
This is a good book, but very scientific. They get into the equations within the first few pages, and it is heavy reading all the way through. It is very comprehensive, but also hard to read. It is certainly at college level. Not an introductory level book, you need to do some study of the topic before you start with this book.

Great Aero primer
With all the change in technology, it's good to know that aerodynamic principles have remained unchanged for over 50 years.. The contents are great. Might be a little heavy for the less technically oriented, but the charts are a big help. The book seems well bound, though the page paper is not great: hopefully highlighter will not bleed through to the back side of each page. The advertised 2023 publication date is the print run. Inside the cover is simply one big photocopy of NAVAIR's 1965 edition.

Still the best
Great book I bought for my son. He is just starting flight training.

Valuable info, not the best print
If you're a pilot who wants to dig beyond the FAA's bullet points and actually better understand the principles of lift and drag, airfoils, boundary layer separation and these kinds of things... let's just say I learned more from reading the first chapter of this book a few times over than from entire FAA textbooks. There's a lot of math that most pilots can skip over but for the ability to really understand principles of flight better, it's a worthwhile buy. The printing is a photocopy of some sort, legible and well-bound but not crisp and clear as you might expect from a new book.

Timeless cure for insomnia... just kidding. Good reprint of a classic, authoritative text
Good quality paper and binding. The original text is from the 1960s, of course. This is a good one to have on your physical bookshelf in an age of PDFs, electronic tablets, and e-readers.

A gem
I earned a Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering at the Naval Postgraduate School. Several of us were talking during the last semester, and someone remarked that fully half of the graduate level courses in aeronautics could have been taught from this book. Although it is written with the Naval Aviator in mind, it is an excellent source for any beginning pilot. This book is well worth the money.

Exactly what I was looking for
This is the same classic book as before with a refresh on the outside.

Five Stars
Very well written, a reference book for all pilots who wants to learn more.

Great and structural information
Well compiled set of topics to cover interesting aspects of aerodynamics. Concise and structural presentation of information. One drawback is that is a reprint like a photocopy - font is rather small and a bit blurry - not like a book that is actually printed. Still can be read though.
