I got the product in wanting a wireless thermometer. I was using it. I decided to download the app because I needed to step out of the kitchen and take care of my disabled cousin well. I was out of the kitchen when I first walked out the temperature of the chicken. I was cooking, was still in the 30s. It was still a little frozen. I was gone about 15 to 20 minutes. It came back in because the timer for my tea went off. And I put the T in the thing in right in the middle of my T of finishing fixing up the tea, I was making the wireless thermometer, said the chicken was at 164°. So I turned around and I looked and I went back to the oven, and as I went back, it hit 165 every 166, so I pulled it out. And I let it sit and rest, and I checked it with a another instant-read thermometer. I have, that's not wireless and sure. Enough, the temperature was at 167, so it is spot on and I was probably about 250 foot away from my thermometer. When the app on my phone went off I have no issues with recommending the thermometer. It seems to work perfect as it says. It does get very hot to touch. So when you're pulling it out of your meat, be sure to yeah, use a potholder or a glove, but uh, other than that, if you follow the directions and you put it into the meat up to the line. It seems to work very well easy to use like it a lot

This thermometer is great! The setup was almost instant with my phone. It has wifi available, but I didn't even need it. I was looking for something more cost-effective than others on the market and have returned others. I seem to burn out the ones with the cable when on the grill. This is a keeper. There are a number of settings, so I can put the roast in the oven and go back to work cleaning the house! I can see the temperature at any time instead of having to open the oven and dropping the temperature. The base is small and is chargeable. The design is sleek, so I can put it right into the drawer without anyone getting stuck. Cleaning is a breeze. Nothing sticks to it!

Just activated it and paired with phone app. Tried all the controls and read the user manual. So far pretty slick! The real test will be tomorrow - beef roast, medium rare. Hope the magnet will keep it attached to the oven without overheating. Will be checking the surface temperature with infrared thermometer. [one week later:] changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars. Corrected typos.

A true necessity for grilling aficionados and anyone who oven roasts meats and doesn’t want them overcooked. A Bluetooth wonder!

UPDATE: the company sent me a new item as mine may have been defective and this one seems to be working properly though I only have used it once more so far I ended up having to get a name brand one for more money as this one’s probe simply does not hold a charge. I’ve got to do a full charge hours before I plan to use it because the battery drains while not in use just sitting within the main unit while it’s off. And then I usually end up keeping the main unit plugged in during use because the battery drains so quickly. Other than that it works alright. The temperature setting can be finicky (ex. I set to 170 but it reverts to 168) and the beep is very loud and annoying (you can turn it completely off but then you don’t know when it’s done)
