This is a great product. I like the taste, the amount, and the packaging. I have no complaints about the product itself. However - I’m incredibly disappointed that in a product with a 15 month shelf life, it was sent to me about 50% of the way to its expiration date. For some people who go through tons of this stuff, that may be fine. But if you only use it once in a while, this is something you may want to consider before purchasing.

I wanted mild and this is it. Not terribly salty like Japanese miso. My digestive tract had a strong and beneficial reaction to the first time I ate some of this fermented miso, indicating it has beneficial live cultures. I lost 3 pounds in a single day due to to passing urine like crazy and my digestion improved as IBS subsided. No other probiotic has ever had such a dramatic effect on me and I am now cutting out the capsules and kefir. This is a good Asian style marinade or soup base and you can always add some of your own chili if you want it hotter. The tubs are not air tight once you remove the inner seal. The hinged lids they incorporate are not tight enough on the lip of the tub. This matters to me because it will take me a year to use this up.

It says it's Fermented which is a Great Thing! So good for our Microbiome aka Gut health and total Health !!
