Q: Does water leak under the mat ?

It does not leak through. If the rack is bigger than the mat. Water will do underneath the pad.

It delivered flat. No rolls or fold creases.

Q: How to rid the musty smell?

I wash with Dawn and set on dry towel to dry. Works for me. I do it every evening for the next day.

Q: How do you store this mat when not in use if it is very floppy?

I don't store my mats. I keep by the stove on my counter and under my coffee pots to use as giant trivets. They protect counters from heat, water
