I cannot say enough good things about this. It has saved me in the heat since my ac is down in my apartment. Yes it’s only meant to be directly on you but it will cool you down significantly. Don’t listen to these reviews saying it doesn’t work. It does! 12/10

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I just received this today, and after spending some time setting it up and trying it out, I’m genuinely impressed with my purchase. The unit arrived well packaged, and everything was in perfect condition. It has a modern, compact design that doesn’t take up much space, and it looks great on my desk. Setup was incredibly simple. I filled the water tank, connected it to a USB power source, and it was ready to use within a couple of minutes. One of the first things I noticed was the soft sky-blue light. It gives off a very calming and soothing glow without being too bright, making it a nice addition to my workspace and something that would also be relaxing to use at night. The noise level is another big plus. Even while it’s running, it’s very quiet, so it doesn’t interrupt work, studying, reading, or watching videos. It creates a gentle background sound that’s actually quite pleasant rather than distracting. For a personal air cooler, the airflow is surprisingly good. Sitting nearby, I could immediately feel a cool, refreshing breeze. It’s clear that this is designed to cool your personal space instead of an entire room, and for that purpose, it does a great job. I can see it being especially useful on a desk, bedside table, or while camping or traveling. I also appreciate how lightweight and portable it is. The built-in handle makes it easy to carry from room to room, and the USB power option means it can be used with a laptop, power bank, or in the car, which makes it very convenient. Overall, my first impression is extremely positive. It’s compact, quiet, easy to use, has a relaxing sky-blue light, and provides a comfortable amount of airflow for personal cooling. Looking forward to using it throughout the summer. So far, I think it’s a great value for the price and exactly what I was looking for.

This is the second unit I’ve bought in roughly a month. It works well, especially if you use water that is already cold. My biggest problem is that it uses micro-USB to charge. The first unit I bought now only turns on (when plugged in) or off when you disconnect it, clicking the top button doesn’t do anything (speed modes/light). Fortunately it powers on to max speed, which is what I want anyways. The most recent unit I bought only works if you manage to line the micro-USB cable up just right but any movement and it will stop. I think it was day 4-5 when this began. If they switched micro to USB-C, would be a 5/5 product. Going to buy a USB-C alternative going forward.

Update....dropping down to 3 stars because after a year the fan is unusable as a bedside fan. The first problem I had was the fan control just stopped. Further investigation shows an issue with one of the pcb traces. I fixed that and it worked for a while until the noises started. A rattle developed somewhere in the fan making it unusable for a bed fan. Also... Evapolar has poor quality control of the replacement media. 50/50 chance you'll get a good one or one that smells like feet. The product is an excellent concept, but lacks in reliability. I always thought the desktop evap coolers were gimmicky, and they mostly are, until I saw this one that actually uses media and not just a soaked sponge/mister. Remember, this is NOT an air conditioner. Performance and efficiency will depend on your environmental conditions. You can only cool down the the wet bulb temp, but it's not 100% efficient so it'll be a few degrees above. Positives: - Design and Build quality on this are excellent. The unit looks good and is well thought out.... This the price. - Noise -- this is by far the most quiet of any fan I tried. That are no annoying rattles or motor harmonic. Just the sound of the fan which has a pleasant white noise sound at all speeds. - No mist, true evap design. This will eliminate any "white dust" that comes with the low cost desktop coolers. Negatives: - I wish the water tank was slightly larger, at speed 2 I get about 5 hours. I'd like one hour more. - the louvers are very loose and may not stay in position at higher fan speeds. All in all a great purchase and I will be buying more to replace other fans in the house. Yes it is more expensive but I personally think it well worth the cost for the quality.
